I may have found a problem with "our" tree. I recently acquired a cheap 6L:

And while dmg is insane, I'm having trouble sustaining the mana cost. I got the leech, but my mana pool is too small so I can only fire 2 salvos, then have to break for half a second to allow for leech to catch up.
Also, I don't think it's possible to run PS chain without major gear changes. Mana cost is close to 100 on that, it's 67 for my 6L KB.

Any suggestions, other than changing ALL my gear for something with mana/mana reg on it? :S
I'm thinking maybe soul siphon will help (2 points for 26% max mana).
And I'll need to trade the rings for ones with Mana and Life leech. Gonna be tough...

In party there's no problem when someone is running clarity. I have about 2 APS with my current wand, so would need to sustain 67*2 = 136 mana per second. My mana pool is 600, max mana leech is 12.5%/s so I can leech only 75 mana per second. My regen is 23 or something, so I'm like 40 mana short. If I get a 1.5 or higher APS wand, that problem will increase :S

Okay solved problem for now, with these cheapo rings and Soul Siphon:

Now I got 900 mana and better regen, comes to 144 mana per sec leech and regen :)

im interested in trying this build, but what did you mean by :

"Add in an Elreon ring and you're golden" ? I have the other uniques you listed.

Elreon Rings are the ones that reduce mana cost of skills by a flat amount (maximum is -8), and are sold by Elreon, the Lore Master. Those rings can help with mana problems, and are especially OP if you can equip them at lvl1-30 since you'll have essentially no mana costs and thus, free spamming of whatever spell or attack you decide to level with.
Endgame those aren't really feasible for us, with 6linked chained PS reaching almost 100 mana per cast :S

Hey atlimar, how's it going? :)
I just wanted to report I'm still alive... made some improvements to gear, sadly I still cannot for the life of me get a hold of a better wand. I tried crafting an imbued and got 167% tyrannical and 38% (!) crit multi, but failed on the regal by getting a suffix. So I could only craft flat and 1 more prefix, no crit which sorta ruinied it :( Sigh. Wand builds are so darn popular atm ;)

Anyways, I now have 7k ES without disc, or 9K with. Most of the time I run hatred for added dps, evasion is sitting at 6.5k or 12k with Grace instead of Hatred. Due to a total of 14% life leech with Vaal Pact, I can handle phys and ele reflect maps (even 78's) :)

Gear (I just flipped my no-quality gems so ignore low levels on the supports):

I'm just not quite sure about the supports on KB. Might try to replace crit multi with PPD or faster attacks for more DPS. Or WED? Hmmm... What do you figure gives the most dps with my setup, or makes the most sense?
I want my 6L back ;(

If this build is somewhat feasible after the Awakening I'll update the guide, but defensive mechanism changes may require a complete overhaul of how it's put together.
