The upcoming Content Update 3.0.2 will include two new unique items, which were created to celebrate the launch of Path of Exile in China. We wanted to design some lore-heavy uniques that were associated with memorable characters, so we decided to create two items: one themed around Malachai, and one themed around Dialla. Two weeks ago, many of our staff attended the New Zealand Game Developer's Conference here in Auckland. While most of the team were attendees, there were also several members who held their own talks. One of our concept artists, George, spoke about his process for making different types of concept art, and how to overcome creativity blocks. The new content introduced in The Fall of Oriath has inspired some of our players to create amazing artwork. We'd love to see more of your talented fan art, so we've decided to launch a fan art competition themed around The Fall of Oriath expansion. The competition will run for four weeks. The winners will receive lots of great prizes including microtransactions, signed Path of Exile comics and Chaos Orb T-shirts.
