rampage sounds like some addictingly fun gameplay... however, how do you figure players will be able to pick up items and ID items while maintaining their rampage? a larger inventory would help greatly, and/or maybe get rid of scrolls of wisdom and allow players to right-click-identify items as diablo 3 allows.
something to consider,
thanks GGG

kill first, ask later :p

Rampage is kinda crapy. I can already see how many builds its gonna kill... and the amount of desynh its gonna bring.

GGG you always stated that D2 is an example for poe. Now imaging this kinda rampage playstyle in D2.....yep it would be terrible.

Rly GGG you think its fun? let me tell you somethin... its not... and i think this league wont be popular.

btw great tv show
Well, didn't like that very much. I like to take my time to think and act and really enjoy the game instead of just going running like crazy for the next monster...

I think I know why I dislike the Rampage idea.

Its not in the nature of PoE to try to play as fast as possible. The nature of PoE is the grind and the looting. Picking stuff up that gets you orbs, orbs to create better items. The whole Rampage idea completely goes against this nature. I will probably still want to pick up everything that sells and take it to town. I wont care about the whole rampage thing if it goes away or whatever.

But if the rampage thing gets paused if you go to town then that solves a lot, but it still goes against the nature of PoE imo.

^^This. Rushing in PoE will get you killed. You never know when an Exile or Invasion Boss will be in the next room. And I hope you are not removing theses things to make Rampage work. We need the occasional Exile, Invasion Boss, Strongbox to keep us on our toes. Without them, zones get stale.

Also, a 325 kill count? Really? Who will ever see that? Some areas I cannot even charge up Vaal Summon Skeletons before the area is cleared. Even if you somehow have an area with 325 enemies to kill, what would be the point of having an effect go off at that point? Everything would already be dead. If I want to see some fireworks with no effect, I can watch someone use some "win fireworks".

Furthermore, you have to stop and pick up items. I'm not leaving things I need on the ground to keep up some kill streak that is completely unnecessary, especially if playing in a party. In a party, you cannot leave the stuff on the ground and go back for it after the fact. Anything of value will be gone, not that I would retrace my steps afterwards to pick things up when playing solo either. Waste of time.

I guess the movement and attack speed boosts would be nice, but that makes things easier not harder, thus defeating the concept of the league being a "challenge" league.

Barring having to start over with nothing, what about Rampage is going to make the game harder than playing in Standard? (No I won't play in Standard... ever... no point in playing with access to everything that has ever dropped since Open Started)

Is the challenge of Rampage to rush and not die? I'll play Rampage for the fresh start, but I don't think I'm going to care or take part in trying to achieve kill streaks, unless there is some meaningful reward that hasn't been announced yet. Like, 1 of the 8 challenges being "Achieve a XXX kill streak".

Holy shit just understood something! having a culler in maps will reduce the clear speed! only he'll get the streaks :D
interesting.
I'm so gonna play a built with culling strike-stealing everyone's streaks
sounds really cool but how will this work while playing in a party and with minions.

1. If I kill a mob will the rest of my party gain the benefits of the kill as well or just the person who got the killing blow?

2. If my zombies gets the kill will only that zombie gain the benefits of the kill or will the rest of the horde and myself gain the benefits?

u just answered ur question in the first paragraph, rushing will maybe get u killed.
just because you have some sort of physical gameplay delay on picking 1 2 items, doesnt mean the entire comunity play as numbly as urself.
increased packsize/ fractured, these r some of the map modes that can coop with that kind of streak.
please do use ur brain once in a while, that wont get u killed.

LOL. I rarely if ever die. And Fractured, LOL again. More often than not, the created fractures are instantaneously dead.
