GGG please add a zoomed in facepalm animation when a character first hears from Vorici about socket crafting. Is it too much to ask?

150 fusing for 5l this is a casual recips for casual guys who don't play much (if you are not sur you can ever roll a 5l )
1500 for 6l is for average player ( if you can farm more then that easyly it's not for you old scool is beter like 80% of the time and you can try a 2nd one )
but if you targeting the 6l what the best choice ?
-played on 4l until you farm 1500 fuse ?
-farming 150f first for the 5l then farm 1500f more ? ( in both case you always get 6l at the same moment more or less quicker depending of your farming abilities )
-use hold scool crafting on 6s until 5l (or6l) apened then crafting an other one until 6l ? (it's possible you never get 6l on 3/4month but also posible to get it in 2/3 week )
- make a farming build ( dominus /map /...) and farm until you can buy 1500 fuse or a 6l ?( depending of farming skill/speed

why not to make it 6 fuses for 6L, 5 fuses for 5L etc?.. /sarcasm
no, seriously guys, do you realize that the cost has to be higher than average cost of rng crafting? Anything else would make tradional use of orbs obsolete

Offcolor needs to be splitted into items which has 6 sox and some who has 4 sox.
For 4 Sox:
1x Offcolor = 2x Chromatic
2x Offcolor = 20x Chromatic
3x Offcolor = 120x Chromatic
4x Offcolor = 300x Chromatic
For 6 Sox:
1x Offcolor = 2x Chromatic
2x Offcolor = 10x Chromatic
3x Offcolor = 70x Chromatic
4x Offcolor = 120x Chromatic
5x Offcolor = 300x Chromatic
6x Offcolor = 1200x Chromatic
Please keep in mind that you are not able to control the "left" color if you don't use the "Full" offcolor option. So it's still gambling!

hmm 150 fuses for a 5 link and 1500 for a 6 link? sure thats paying over the odds but i wonder if the margins are the same? iv made 7 maybe 8 5 links and the worst luck iv had was around 80 fuses and the best was 2, typically its been between 40-60, lets say im lucky and the odds are around 1:75 (a complete guess maybe im really quite lucky here) would that suggest the odds for a 6 link is 10 times lower (1:750) perhaps?

The odds are probably around that. Some people have used 8000 fusings and never got their 6l. What do you say to them though?

OK, well I found 3ex so far, in over 1300 hours of game time...
About 6L:
I tried to 6L 4 times, each time stopping at 5L as it was usable and my fuses were too low to continue. My first time 5L I did it in less than 1 stack. Maybe 4 fuse for a 5L. I thought to continue but feedback on global chat prompted me to take that luck and stay with the 5L.

Meanwhile I don't have access to better items (well over 600 ES, like Infernal Mantle) since the highest iLevel I can get is about 73 or 74, commonly 70.
Then gear is so tough to find and coordinate, I simply have to choose, do I want chaos resist in the 40% range or do I want ES -- in other words, do I want to die from physical attacks or poison clouds.
I do everything right, but this game presents a 'going nowhere' feeling. And tonight 'The Wicked One' kicked my ass and killed me twice in a row when I had 99% xp to level 87. So I am mega-mad, bro.
Yes, I'm level 86 and sometimes die on 66 maps to exiles or whatever. You can blame it on my build or skills but I am skilled at my character, it takes a lot of playtime to get to level 86 getting only 1% xp per map.(that's all my character could handle until recently)
Well anyway, where is the altar to pray to RNG so I can get some damn fortune, FFS I'm mad as heck. I have 0ex, about 70 fuse and I'll be level 99 before I can afford to 6L, what's the point anymore?
I wish I wasn't so hooked, I'd quit this game. Usually games reward skill and determination and time invested. This game will shit on your face and laugh.

ok, I've read a bit of this thread and I am baffled.
nobody is even remotely considering that six-linking via fuses gets you an achievement and the recipe version likely won't.
right now there are like 2 reasons to dedicatedly play this game beyond simply beating it casually once or twice
-) achievements (& challenges)
-) collecting stuff (uniques, currency, race & leaderboard rewards) in the permanent leagues
and that's pretty much everything that is displaying a lasting impact of you playing this game.
nobody mentioned that at all... I'm baffled... what game are you people playing?!
since I have no hope for significant game design improvements in this game I am officially done with Path of Exile. done for good
