Screenshot of Forsaken Masters Socket Crafting

Cool, only 1,493 to go.
Bachelor, UNC fan, terrible guitar player, doggy daddy.
I can´t understand why everyone is complaining ?

1. GGG is not removing the old crafting!!!! If you want to 5Link/6Link your Item old fashioned go ahead!!!!

2. Someone who plays 10 hours a week in a league(!!!!) will probably never do atziri and it should be like that. If you want everything for free go play D3 everyone has perfect gear in 2 days of farming. If you want to still be endgame someday stay in standard and play there.

3. A 6Link is not for everyone, and people that say i cant afford a 5Link are just really really stupid. I sold at least 4 %links in the 1month(!!!!!!) race for und 10 Chaos. If there is someone that doesnt ever had as much as 10 chaos he is probably around level 45 with his first char. Even if you are that bad at the game you can look for builds (since you probably never will be able to make one yourself) that only need a 4 Link to be good. Many Caster builds come to my mind (Arc,RF ...)

So please all the whiners stop it this patch is going to be amazing. I was personally always bad at RNG except for one time (where i rage wasted fusings on a Carcass and got a 6Link after 10 fusings :) ) still I had this one very lucky Fuse i will always use the new crafting in the future

It's much better than gambling; at least you have a defined target to shoot for now.
Fearing that last master will be like that: does nothing on levels 1-7, removes corruption on level 8... for 1000000 vaal orbs.
And worst change is putting almost all bosses in new version of maps into fucking small areas, where you can't kite well or dodge stuff. What a terrible idiot invented that I want say to him: dude flick you, seriously flick you very much.
I do hope the cost of linking and off-colours is affected by the amount of sockets an item has e.g. getting 4 off-colours on 4S is definitely harder than on 6S, thus the prices should be properly adjusted.
FFS, on standard, it's about 40 fuse for 1ex:

so 1500 fuse is 37.5ex, for 6L.

OK, well I found 3ex so far, in over 1300 hours of game time...

About 6L:
I tried to 6L 4 times, each time stopping at 5L as it was usable and my fuses were too low to continue. My first time 5L I did it in less than 1 stack. Maybe 4 fuse for a 5L. I thought to continue but feedback on global chat prompted me to take that luck and stay with the 5L.

I sold that item for only 20c, that was the best I could get.

The next time I tried to 6L, it took about 200 fuse to get 5L. I think I got 1ex for that item.

The next time it took about 250

The most recent 6L effort landed me with yet another 5L, it took about 600 fuse and completely bankrupted me and made me dislike the game.

All these fuse put into it for fairly worthless items (all 4 were Infernal Mantle robe)

Now I will rant and complain because I feel like it:

Meanwhile I don't have access to better items (well over 600 ES, like Infernal Mantle) since the highest iLevel I can get is about 73 or 74, commonly 70.

Then gear is so tough to find and coordinate, I simply have to choose, do I want chaos resist in the 40% range or do I want ES -- in other words, do I want to die from physical attacks or poison clouds.

I do everything right, but this game presents a 'going nowhere' feeling. And tonight 'The Wicked One' kicked my ass and killed me twice in a row when I had 99% xp to level 87. So I am mega-mad, bro.

Yes, I'm level 86 and sometimes die on 66 maps to exiles or whatever. You can blame it on my build or skills but I am skilled at my character, it takes a lot of playtime to get to level 86 getting only 1% xp per map.(that's all my character could handle until recently)

Well anyway, where is the altar to pray to RNG so I can get some damn fortune, FFS I'm mad as heck. I have 0ex, about 70 fuse and I'll be level 99 before I can afford to 6L, what's the point anymore?

I wish I wasn't so hooked, I'd quit this game. Usually games reward skill and determination and time invested. This game will shit on your face and laugh.

Please feel free to berate and degrade my status
I will rip the eyes from your head with glee

If 40 fuse = 1ex.. and you have used > 1000 fuse, then you have "found" 25 ex. Which means you could have bought 6L items instead of try to craft them. In 1300 hours, all currencies/items combined, I'd bet you've "found" over 100 ex worth of gear/currency.

But that doesn't really matter because 6L item is not a requirement to play the game or beat any content in the game.

There are games out there that make sure every single player can get every single item in the game based on number of hours played or amount of money paid. Path of Exile is ONE game out of THOUSANDS to play. It's nice to have something different for a change.

I've never owned a 6 link. I've still enjoyed the game. It would be cool to have one some day. Either way... obtaining a 6L did not get harder in this patch. It only became easier. Because there is a way to but one with a fixed amount of currency, there will be more in the game and therefore more for sale. Simple as that. If it gets too easy/cheap to obtain a 6-link and everyone that plays a couple hundred hours gets one.. then it's not as special when you do get it.

Complaining about how hard it is to get is irrational. If it wasn't so hard to get, you wouldn't want one so bad.

No, I don't want to do such thing, I just want to show my points :
- You actually earned a lot of currency but you didn't aware of it (because you didn't stock them).
- To have a 6L, usually, you have 2 options : one is to link it yourself, and the other is to save and buy from others. You chose to try your luck but the RNG god didn't like you (same shit happened to me). It's our luck and our decisions that need to be blamed, not the game.
IMO, we shouldn't try our luck when we have barely enough currencies to do so.

On topic, I'm glad that there is a "sure" way to 6-L an item. Thanks GGG for it.
I'm also glad to know the actual rate to do a 6L.

Cheers,

PS: Sorry for my bad English
will the socket costs take into account number of sockets?

you are more likely to roll 5L on 6S than on 5S
you are more likely tu roll 2 off-colors on 6S than on 4S

Please update some repics to:

4L = 4 Fuse
5L = 100 Fuse
6L = 1250 Fuse

*New*

5S = 60 Jewellers
6S = 120 Jewellers

Please remeber that you need to 6SOX item before it can be 5L or 6L maybe there will be a repic but for now there is no afaik.

Offcolor needs to be splitted into items which has 6 sox and some who has 4 sox.

For 4 Sox:

1x Offcolor = 2x Chromatic
2x Offcolor = 20x Chromatic
3x Offcolor = 120x Chromatic
4x Offcolor = 300x Chromatic

For 6 Sox:

1x Offcolor = 2x Chromatic
2x Offcolor = 10x Chromatic
3x Offcolor = 70x Chromatic
4x Offcolor = 120x Chromatic
5x Offcolor = 300x Chromatic
6x Offcolor = 1200x Chromatic

Please keep in mind that you are not able to control the "left" color if you don't use the "Full" offcolor option. So it's still gambling!
