Just curious what others cast speed modifier for SRS is? I am at 222% (4.03 a sec) and (0.25 cast time) I can sustain 27 spirits standing still, and with Vaal Haste I sustain 36 spirits...is that about average or over?
I run a life version using Belly of the Beast and Pledge, Hatred and Angry on Generosity, Haste by itself, and Clarity on my life. I got my Minion Dmg Modifier for SRS up to 164%...With the help of some really nice jewels, and my Vaal Haste is 16sec so the up time is pretty much 100%!
For a low budget build thats above average indeed sir :)
The Minion DMG Modifier is slightly low. I would try to aim for 200-300% when possible, but it really comes down to how many jewel slots you have available and what level you are at. Life based builds usually require more nodes in life than for example low life builds require in ES.

Hi there! Im playing darkshireHC lvl 73 atm as a dualcurse summoner with flame sentinels (woundering about revenants later)
about the question: how does Mind over matters and Eldrich battery synergy ? I know its about the 100% reserve mana but why do i need mind over matters for the 30% dmg reduction on ES? It still absorbing dmg ?
Isnt it better to have low enough ES to cast spells (with zealoth) and get pure armor gear for more phyz reduction ? Since i feel that when (a question of when ^^) i die its due to phyz damage or chaos damage.
How much life + ES + armour should i have ? Ive just played some tier 2-3 maps..
Thx anyways for the 6Keystone summoner build !

Hey!
When your ES is moved to "cover" your mana pool it no longer soaks damage, hence why we get Mind of Matter where it forces the ES to soak 30% of the incoming damage :)
Usually summoner builds only gets hit a few times during a fight, you should always strive to not be hit at all. Hence the stacking of other defensive mitigations such as Evasion or Armour is a waste of currency.
Depending on your lvl i would recommend having 4000+ life and always have 45-50% of your life pool of ES so in that case 1500-2000 ES would suffice. Armour doesn't matter at all.

Damn I thought I was good on minion dmg, I have 5 jewels allocated!
Spoiler
I'm not sure if I got the best supports socketed for pledge, I didn't want to do melee on full health cause there is always something doing aoe so I skipped that for a support that was up all the time instead of just every now and then....got Increased Melee, lvl3 Empower, Minion Damage, Culling, Melee Splash...for single target I switch out Splash for Multistrike, would run it instead of culling but the 160% + 180% multiplier destroys mana regen! lol
EDIT: I switched out the jewel with minion health for one with same cast speed but with minion dmg, up to 178% now. I don't see why I need more than that! I already kill at Tier 10+ map boss in like 2 or 3 sec tops! lol

Melee DMG on full life is only added for single target boss fights that doesn't have too much of a risk to hurt your SRS!
Hehe, its lovely isn't it? The more you have the safer you'll be. SRS Motto: "Kill things before they touch you" ;)

Indeed it is!!! I actually just go done mapping for today, and a Shavs dropped! After 3500 hrs, and after they nerfed it, and up'd the drop rate "at least I believe", as well as the price being affordable now...but it still felt good to actually see one drop, never thought I would! lol

Hey Ghazzy, cheers again for your build ! I'm playing it in the Darkshrine HC league and it's quite some fun.
I've arrived at lvl 75 with my char and was wondering what you would improve first. I'm not a big PoE player and I could use some advices :p.
I'm playing a pure summoner (with Stygians), with duo curse (enfeeble and ele weakness).
Here's my stuff :

So, what would you enhance first ? I got around 40c to trade (and I'm proud of it :D) !

Again, thanks for the guide !
Hey!
Helmet, Belt, Chest doesn't look very good with that benched HP. Its nice for lvling sure, but after reaching map stage you want to get properly rolled life rolls instead!
I have been trying to revive my witch into SRS Hybrid summoner . I am working off the low budget first. I seem to be having quite a bit of survivability issues for instance in the daresso/kaoms type map. Their aoe attack is like spectral throw/ srs and they keep following you. the arc doesn't do well and the zombies/ spectres or skeles die fast... leaving me running around trying to find a second to re summon everything....
I am running all the aura's and have 1 vaal haste gem ... but it runs out pretty fast....
level 85 witch
here is my gear
Spoiler
with an srs of 57 mana cost with a time of 0.34 ... i cant seem to be breaking more than 20 skulls at any time... i have like 180 mana left over ( 181 mana regen per sec)( running clarity on blood)
2.8k ES and 2k health... capped resistances with 9% chaos resist.
How do you get 200%-300% minion damage modifier?
my skill tree

May i ask why you're using Solaris Lorica? :S It doesn't give you as much eHP as you might need at the stage you're in!
In your tree just above the witch tree you've forgotten to grab an additional 15% minion damage.
With the tree you have you should focus on grabing as many jewel slots as possible now, which ALL MUST have minion damage to bump that damage modifier up :)
I'm personally not a big fan of using the Vertex either for eHP reasons as well.
Your amulet is neither giving any life nor Energy Shield, your ring is not granting any life either (the two-stone one). Belt doesn't provide any health either! :S
Lioneye's paws bronzescale boots are good for the dexterity gain, but again, lacking a TON of eHP.
The main problem here seems to be your effective HP + 1 node on the skilltree, I'd recommend granting your gear more rare items with proper eHP gain + jewels in your tree from now on with Minion Damage and preferably with cast speed if possible.
I am assuming you're running a Hybrid Build using both HP as well as ES as your defensive stats looking at your tree. But I fear you're going low life with Solaris Lorica?

I was looking at your build on low budget hybrid SRS and the high budget one.. I happen to have a Solaris lorica and this 5L armor . SO i understand to make the hybrid build work we need atleast 40% chaos resistance..
If i use solaris lorica id have to ditch hp nodes for pure es nodes.. "kill them before they kill you...." i undersand id have to go low life to max out my dps... and if i am going low life i might as well get a shav's.... and the budget keeps growing...
is there a way i can go low life with just the solaris lorica?

Well, you can, but will be left with 2 options;
1) Grab too much ES from the skilltree making your DPS not good enough
2) Grab just enough ES from skilltree as lowlife is planed to make sure your DPS is good enough for the build, however this will render you extremely vulnerable to die from colateral hits and/or projectiles/splash damage or even agro.
It's a very hard decision but keep in mind that DPS is the main thing keeping this build alive.
