[2.1 Ghazzy - Summoner Guides] Low Budget Builds

has anyone tried MoM on this build? once all the mana nodes are filled, it might be worth it in the late stages with this crazy mana regen?


I'm L76 - doing tier 4 ish maps now with no issues at all.
usually killing bosses with no damage taken.
i'm using the totem/arc/EE and faster casting/flamedash - i find the flame dash to be extremely useful when swarmed, but that meant i had to get an unset ring for 1 aura and also put my desecrate on a weapon swap (only use it for initial spawning of zombies/spectres anyway)

taking one of the big monkeys from act2/tropical island type maps. gives you frenzy charges which really help in cast speed when you don't have FO/VaalHaste up. they're also quite tanky at my stage of mapping if you get them from a map.

my gear at the moment: i've got about 3k ES and just under 2k Life. my resistances are just capped and i have over 40% chaos resist. chaos/phys snakes seem to be my biggest danger at the moment

First time summoner in the 1 month flashback (SC). I'm loving the playstyle much more than expected (following the SRS hybrid build), thanks to your build. Below, the current state of my character :




Clearing t3 maps with no major issues, but things sometimes get hairy when beyond mobs get involved. I'm quite unsure as to which points I should skill next. Seems like I won't be able to use hatred without more mana and the cost reduction nodes.
Any suggestions to help make thing smoother ? That'd help a lot :)

Edit: Dropped spectres and discipline, threw in hatred, things seem to go a lot better. Wondering if Zealot's Oath could be a good option later on.

A few tips;

Benchcraft + cast speed on the staff! Try to get a pure ES based pair of boots. Pure ES based chest piece, besides that everything looks great!
When it comes to the auras you should prio them like this;

Clarity > Hatred > Haste

Hatred is an INSANE damage increaser for you!

ZO is a matter of taste in the end, i prefer not to use it for that build.

I made some adjustments in the meantime and grabbed a 500ish ES/Armour chest with chaos res now hosting the 3x 2 aura links, with room for resistances (or even dex, for that matter), so that's taken care of. I cared so little about the masters this league I didn't realise I could grab the cast speed, that's about 1.5/2 spirits more at a time, thanks for pointing out.

Still working on the level of gems & boots, although I do need quite a nice pair of those because of the resistances. Figured I have enough mana / regen to use AA, so I'm using it for now.

Would a Belly of the Beast work with the SRS Hybrid build? I know it says to get energy shield when possible, but just curious if a Belly would work/be better.

When moving over to shavs id suggest going for high budget SRS if you plan on using it for SRS, which requires a TON of currency on your other pieces.

Belt should be a heavy belt with a strength roll + resistances & ES
Rings should be the last items you get which should sort your resistances in the end and/or dexterity need and lastly if possible, throw in some cast speed.
Amulet, get an insane ammount of dexterity from here, preferably with %inc ES / ES / Res if needed and lastly, throw in some cast speed if possible. Main focus is dexterity and ES though.

If you plan on using a Belly of the beast I would recommend moving in to a full HP build using a BM mod on a +3 weapon instead of Hybrid. Which you later can upgrade to Kaoms heart for even more life gain!

If its better is up to your prefered playstyle, it is surely safer for HC plays imo.

so I just hit level 74 in HC on my SRS Hybrid and picked up a cheap 4-link Pledge of Hands (to replace my 4-link +2 fire gems staff).

At the moment my 4-link is SRS - Minion Damage - Melee Physical Damage - Melee Splash (for trash)/ Melee Damage on Full Life (for tougher bosses). Don't really want to spend a lot of chroms getting the Culling Strike in there. I have an unleveled Empower in stash, though, and I'm wondering if it's worth leveling it to replace the flex gem in my 4-link.

Also I'd like your thoughts on what maps I should look out for as particularly dangerous or easy. It's my first go as a summoner and it's certainly playing differently to other builds, so I'm not sure what the status quo is as far as mapping.

Here's my gear and current tree for reference:



Current life is ~2.5k (unreserved), energy shield 2.8k, chaos res is still very negative unfortunately but with only Clarity linked to BM it hasn't been too much of an issue yet. I plan on carrying around an Amethyst flask if it becomes one.

This is thus far my highest HC character ever, and I just recently got 15/20 and my sexy new chest mtx (which I immediately put on that even sexier savant's robe, which I found myself!), so I'd like to say again thanks a ton for the guide!
