Vacation time race, I like it. It could send chars to void, couldn't care less. I think we could have a HC version that dropped chars on SC, though, for those people who loves playing HC.

The concept looks interesting.
Ouch on the absence of a parallel hardcore event, though. That means any characters created in this one month league will revert back to standard after it's over, along with leftover gear. I've never been able to sustain any interest in non-hardcore characters, though, so I'll be opting out. Hopefully those who do participate enjoy the event. Now that prestige classes will finally leave lab in 4.0, will GGG get it right this time or will they find new ways to repeat old mistakes?

As a hardcore player, I'm disappointed, too. As GGG already said, this is more of a bridge to the next mini expansion than anything. Let's give them some time to respond before we start flaming both sides of the PoE community. For those of you who think that this is "the worst thing ever" or that your "dreams are crushed," you need a serious reality check. Go outside, it can help your mind. And to the people who thing "just delete your character when you die! Boom, hardcore mode," that is such a awful and poorly-thought solution. Really? Will everyone else delete their characters as well? You do realize that deleting a character =/= death in hardcore, right? It's like the Blizzard forums here right now, yeesh. |

this is NOT about removing the SC league, its about adding a HC OPTION with same mods/content... all that is needed and shoudent be too hard / work consuming

" You're more reasonable than 99% of the other HC posters about this issue...but yes, deleting your character gives YOU a hardcore event. Why do you give a shit if everyone else does too? Unless you're trying to beat everyone else to the top 1% where you get Demigod's Bounty and need everyone else to die if they screw up too? If you're just playing it for fun and not racing, there's no reason you can't delete your character if you die. Standard doesn't matter to you so the true item loss shouldn't affect you. Or perhaps you're saying you're only hardcore when you don't have to do 1 extra step that takes 1-2 seconds? #notevenfirstworldproblems |

Ok it can be HC if they give a prize for highest 5 characters with no deaths.
There I fixed it. HC players make every character name with _HC at the end, so then people know you play as HC. Easy but maybe some people are just worried to have fun, it will make them weak or something. |

" You've misread, you can create as many chars as you want for this race, just your highest one will be considered. You'll be disqualified for using multiple accounts though. Finally, cool events without HC-only tags. I know quite a few people that just won't play HC in this game, so this is a good booster for the game.

Lel, it is kinda bad that there is no HC alternative for players which play only HC league and dont wanna end up in standard with their chars and stashed items after the 1 month SC league ends.
Imagine someone get some cool staff in SC league while he would get the same cool items in HC league but never had luck on drop there... Btw, i would be glad if there was like 1 month BLAMT HC event as the alternative... But, its ok, there is legacy HC still.
