What Happens when the Ambush and Invasion Leagues end this Weekend?

As probably stated before, this removes any incentive somebody like me has to buy more tabs. I have well over 50 tabs (most premium) and my non challenge standard and hardcore stash are half remove only pages of utter disaster and hours of work to sort in leagues I have no desire to play when the challenge leagues are available. I won't need more tabs in a challenge league and now buying tabs for standard/hardcore just means I'm buying what was free remove-only real estate. I have no problems supporting the company, but this will cause me to skip on buying tabs until I decide to clean the giant multi-league mess I've created. There should be some periodical incentive to clean all your remove only tabs if the server storage is an issue, like a forum banner or very minor MTX.

A huge, disorganized mess of gear in our stashes is the unfortunate result of remove only tabs. To remedy the underlying problem, give us tools to better find and organize our account stashes. I'll add one more suggestion: allow players to make "self found", character-specific stashes. Now that prestige classes will finally leave lab in 4.0, will GGG get it right this time or will they find new ways to repeat old mistakes?

Okay, look, I've only been playin' this game for a li'l less than a month, so I really don't know shit. I'm seein' everyone freak out about stash tabs, and I'm a tad confused, which I feel is understandable for someone as new to the game as I.
So, what the Hell is goin' on, exactly? Am I gonna be able to keep all my stuff when I'm transferred over to Standard or not? As in, all my characters and their stats, their levels, their passives, all the gear they've got on, and all the stuff in my stash tabs. Everything. Will I be losin' anything at all whatsoever? Can I keep it all, if I so choose? And another thing, this whole Sacrifice of the Vaal expansion. That's still gonna be around, right? 'Cause I seem to be one of the few people 'round here who enjoys the story of PATH OF EXILE, from what I could see in the thread about people just not playin' once the leagues are over, 'cause they see no point. I mean, I know the leagues are endin', so less strongboxes 'n such, but we'll still have corrupted zones and the Vaal storyline 'n stuff, right? Just wanna know if I'm gonna be screwed over by any of this or not. Please explain in a way that an inexperienced-but-eager player of PATH OF EXILE might understand. I be slow. Darius, of all the people here - as a new player - you should worry the least, I think.
The original post should answer your questions. But let me explain:

As a new player I assume you haven't bought Stash tabs yet. So let's say you have 4 Stash tabs (have a look, you have 4 in Standard, 4 seperate ones in Hardcore, 4 in Invasion, 4 in Ambush).
When the leagues (Ambush & Invasion) end the characters there get moved to their parent leagues (Standard & HC). The Stash tabs you have filled in the leagues will come to Standard & Hardcore as Remove-Only. So you will have 4 Tabs with your Standard stuff + 4 Remove Only's from Ambush. Same with Hardcore & Invasion Remove-Only should be clear. you can take stuff out, but not put stuff in it. In a small quantity like this it's easy. Merging 4 fully working Stash tabs with 4 is doable. If it's a problem though, you can buy extra stash tabs. What changed? If you buy stash tabs after league ends, it will first transfer the 4 Remove-Only's and then give you 2 extra. Up until an unknown time ago (two weeks?) you would get 6 new empty Tabs and the 4 Remove-Only's would remain there until you felt like cleaning that up (which is what the problem is, who wants to be sorting when they can be playing). The Vaal stuff is still in, but I read that corrupted areas will get tuned down a bit when next Mini-Expansion hits Last edited by DJ_Anubis#1211 on Jul 4, 2014, 9:14:30 PM

" You will not lose anything. All your ambush chars will become standard chars. All your ambush stash tabs will move to your standard stash as remove only tabs. So however many tabs you have, you will have that many standard tabs plus that many remove only tabs from ambush. The remove only tabs will contain all your ambush items, you just can't put anything more in them. If you empty out a remove only tab it will be gone the next time you leave town. SOTV content is staying in the game but GGG has said that the corrupted areas will spawn less frequently. When I kill a man he stays dead.

I don't know why there's so much QQing over stash tabs. If you don't play standard leagues (like me) then just delete your toons that get migrated over.
