Against my better judgement, I'll respond, although I'm sure you just troll constantly.

The design of the Coward's trial is to have ever streaming monsters, to threaten you with being overcome. Then, at the end of each stage, a necro will begin reviving. At the end of the last stage, the necro mass-AoE revives.

Vaal cyclone will suck all monsters to you as they spawn and make short work, removing any ranged threat. Vaal DD will cause massive AoE damage, kill anything alive and remove ALL corpses that could be revived.

There are so many monsters that one Vaal use is guaranteed to charge up to use again.

As I said, Vaal gems completely go against the point of this map.


I got it backwards then, thx for clarifying. Then its still just 1 map, so i dont think it matters so greatly. I mean why bother to change either of the 2? Or is cowards trial with vaal gems the replacement for snapshotting soon? I kinda doubt it. It sounds like a fun map and if people want to make it cheap to win so be it. if it was like you say in every single map it would be a little bit different.
very interesting! But I have a question: why did you decide to make vaal auras gem not subject to CWDT or CWS ,so never trigger-able? first thing that comes to mind is that trigger gems are disabled for AURA tag , but these aren't "really" auras .. well yes but not with reservation of mana problems.. they are somewhat keen to be used with trigger gem :P

The second question is : would change this in the future, and if not, why?

i must say that i love vaal gems , and every new build i make i always try to find the perfect one for the build , a very nice addition to the game =)

So your idea for vaal double strike was to create a shadow clone that attacks like the player using said skill, but whatsup with the crazy cost of souls for the small amount of time it exists? Small charge requirements for short time would make sense, large charge requirements for long time existence makes sense. Large Cost, for low existence time.................. the AI on it isnt smart enough to make it useful with low existence times.
