version 1 - fills all available charges, than explodes but only the explosion is in slomo and lasts 3 seconds, so while you are moving things are dying - super cool
version 2 - discharges three separate times endurance, power, frenzy
version 3 - explodes in conical shape continuously or few times in direction that character is facing
But I bet you already have enough ideas, you just need time to implement them

This is what i was expecting from the beginning, that and them actually being rare or hard to get. Instead we got useless gems we can trade them all in for more vaal orbs, atleast thats good, lol.

The final plan (as the Vaal Gems appear in Sacrifice of the Vaal) was both thematically strong and added a mechanic that we had wanted for a while: ultimate skills.


I think this is where the GGG dev and the poe players fall apart.

Past lvl66 maps especially in 6 player party, the majority of vaal skills are not ultimate or thematically strong. With exception to Vaal Spark, Cyclone and the Auras, the rest cannot even perform a decent dps even with 5L setup.

Unless GGG intended the vaal gems to be used in normal act 1 to cruel act 3, I humbly suggest GGG to play some lvl70+ maps with 6 player party with nothing but vaal gems, and you will see why people dislike the vaal gems so much.
