What's in 0.9.3?
Regarding the realm wiping, it's less a matter of what we do this patch and more a matter of what our policy is for the next 10 or so patches. We don't want to wipe with each patch, so we won't wipe this time. Making people's characters legacy characters also allows us to see what emergent behaviour occurs in that legacy realm, which will be useful for release. There is of course a wipe before Open Beta.
Also, note that we are rerolling mods on items that are now not correct - the characters should be usable (albiet skewed economically) after the patch.
All very interesting stuff in here. I'm a bit unsure about the new socket orbs, I would have preferred to just set the minimum outcome from Jeweler's orbs to be 2 sockets or something.
Most of the rest of this is very nice, but I have to wait and see what it feels like in-game. IGN: SpudOfDoom | The Exiled - Path Of Exile's oldest clan

Will selling be in 0.9.3? Or will that too have to wait until later?

" When I look at the game (while it is still playable and enjoyable) I keep thinking man there is still such a lot to do. It is so pleasing to see how much you are managing to get done. |

" A Legacy league can still be beneficial to testers. As aimlessgun mentioned earlier, previous testers can use their legacy characters to plan their new characters. You can check item requirements, skill gem requirements, quest rewards that you may not have claimed, how the new damage equations work, etc. in the legacy league rather than devoting many, many hours to finding out the same things with a completely new character. And as it is such so also as such is it unto you

I also say go ahead and wipe the old characters if it makes your job easier. Since theres a new league to play in, I wont even log in to my old characters, I may delete them myself.
And I hope theres a wipe for 9.4 patch(or new default ladder)...I love starting over with everyone and leveling together. When OBT comes, I hope to get new leagues frequently, like a monthly league (always resets on the first of the month) Also wanted to say I love the new changes, and cant wait to test them, everything sounds perfect! |

" Thanks for fighting for it! Hopefully my dagger ranger is still somewhat viable or I may have to revisit this discussion with much QQ. <.< " So that gives 1 hand wanders/daggers 6 sockets?Eep! I hope Sceptres have at least 4 sockets so I can switch. (omg, I am so changing my dual dagger ranger to a dual sceptre build! #pimpwin) At the jewelers comment, I'm also a bit unsure. I'm hoping sockets won't be too easy now. We need stuff to look forward to.(I found five 5 socket linked armors in the last 4 days alone, so they weren't THAT rare in the first place.. and I left 4 socket gloves/boots/helms on the ground every few runs) Last edited by IZombie#0630 on Sep 30, 2011, 1:08:49 AM

" I will be keen to know this too and in addition whether players can trade via a trade window? And whether minions will travel with us across instances and back to town? I would still say go ahead with the wipe, this is a beta and beta players should understand. Thanks for the update, Chris and thanks for the hard work all you guys at GGG. Really looking forward to 0.9.3. |

I'm for weither you guys choose to wipe or set up legacy for what you think will be better for the progression of the game. Some people will be mad either way for their own reasons, but this is beta and certain things need to be done so we can reach the end product keep that in mind.
9.3 sounds amazing after reading the patch notes and the future changes you have in mind for the game. Look forward to testing builds. Here's to hoping rangers get a keystone that allows double bow, we can chain pull arrows with our teeth! You can count on GoL!
Wow, awesome read Chris. I am super excited about the notes that you posted. GGG is really stepping it up a notch! I'm blown away by how much you guys have really taken the feedback to heart. It's really pleasing to see a company that is willing to rework the game until they know it's perfect. Strive for quality and perfection GGG! Your game will rise above the rest!
