[2.0] THOR'S RAINBOWNUKE: DO ALL MAPS, UBER ATZIRI, AND EXPLOSIONS!
If he's playing on the Garena servers they might have different rules or things...or whatever...about mods that can tone down particle effects. He may have been using one of those, which for the game not under Garena rules is forbidden and banworthy. Of course, that's if he's using that in the first place...if it's something else then I am not sure.
As far as DWing Mjolners...you sure it was two of them? It wasn't one Mjolner and a Doryani'a Catalyst in the other hand so he could get the elemental leech and damage boost from it? I seem to recall some people using that on bosses combined with RF to really burn them down (no pun intended) quite quickly. |

" Doryani's would make more sense, but the (almost) latest patch fixed DW so that your hits count the offhand weapon as well, which would mean 50% less procs with mjölner + doryani's. Doesn't sound too dps intensive :D |
|
Yes, unfortunately, dual wield mjolner was nerfed heavily due to the 23/07/15 patch. This is the main reason I did not post my dual wield build previously as the nerf hit, hence rendering all the extensive testing on the build I was doing useless. Basically, there was a glitch with molten strike that made it so that it NEVER used the offhand weapon to deal damage. As such, it would only use mjolner to attack, whilst maintaining all the global bonuses of your offhand weapon, such as elemental damage.
With the fix to this glitch, dual wielding with mjolner now has 50% less chance to proc, which is a massive nerf. However, with the increased attack speed from something like doryani's catalyst and the innate dual wield attack speed bonus, you will effectively be procing at around 70% of what you normally would be. However, your overall dps will still be lower. Also, you cannot benefit from life leech from your offhand, as leech on weapons is local to the weapon you use. Overall, dual wielding with mjolner is dead. Crit variations now also only use crit and spell damage shields. Last edited by iSo1iD#4681 on Aug 10, 2015, 2:37:43 AM

I'm going to get one more level (80% off of 96) and I'm going to try uber with this build. Going to try and config the tree to get 5 EC + 5 PC and Potency of Will and maybe go for Exceptional Performance.
Was thinking of something like this:
Witch
Witch can use Intuitive Leap to get Faith and Steel and the PC + EC to save 1 point (passive tree for 96) if you're not using IL then the tree is lvl 97. Had to throw away the Melding cluster. http://cb.poedb.tw/us/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAwMAAecD7g18DjwRDxFQFHEWQBcvGYoajxslHRQdTx2qHb4lvCcLKPoqOCpNLR8t0i9vM4c1uTboOlI7DT8nRnFJUUuuTLNQMFFMVdZXyVltWfNca1yKX2pfmF-wYVJk52ZUZp5oZW0Zb55wu3IPcql713zZfVt_xoCkgseDCYO2hEiExYV9hmCG0Yx2j0aP-pMnlG-VIJuhm7WfPp_LoqOnK6cwrEesmKyqtAy3Mb6KwcXB88M6w23KSsrTzzLQH9DQ2RPZW9tP217fit-_4MPhiOkC6hjquuwY707v6_DV89322vcy99f46_rS-wn-SQ==
Scion
Scion uses Intuitive Leap in the jewel slot near the resist nodes to get Exceptional Performance, also the res nodes let you be a bit more flexible on gear. 97 tree here. You can try to config this to be better. Haven't put much thought into this other than the IL to get Exceptional Performance. http://cb.poedb.tw/us/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAwAAAecDlgPuDXwOPBEPEVAUcRZAFy8ZihqPGyUdFB1PHaodviW8Jwso-io4LR8t0i9vM4c1uTboOlI7DTsoRnFJUUuuTLNQMFXWV8lZ81xrXIpfal-wYENhUmTnZp5tGW49b55wu3IPcql7w3vXfNl_xoCkgseC5IMJg7aESITFhX2GYIbRjHaPRo_6kBGTJ5Ugm6GbtZ8-n8uhL6KjpyunMKyYrKq0DLcxvoC-ir68wcXB88M6w23KSsrT0B_Q0NkT2VvbT9te37_gw-GI6QLqGOq67BjvTu_r8NX22vcy99f46_rS-wn-SQ== Any feedbacks? The loss of Melding lowers total ES by some bit, but it should still be 8k+ with decent gear. At lvl 100 (looking at you tackle :D) Melding is available for some extra ES (or possibly ES + Spell dmg from scion wheel). I think this build will be doing just fine on uber atziri, just need to work on the charges + duration nodes to get the good IC again. |

" 62% there... if I don't have any stupid RIPs from playing when I'm too tired, I should get there by end of the week. Kinda nolifing it because I want to be done mapping.... I despise 77+ mapping in 2.0 edit uhh... three times today to 62% XP... 3 rips once to offscreen corrupting blood that i didn't notice once to PC freeze once because I decided to attempt village ruin boss with a couple of +dmg mods and forgot my vaal discipline The lesson is: If you value your sanity, don't go for level 100. Getting XP is really quick now huh? 30% exp in a day at lvl99 was some shit before the new maps
|
|
" If you can get into a reliable map rotation group then it's definitely worth it. For those who can't and are stuck soloing more often than not...YUCK! >< |
|
Yeah that was basically from me being in a 6-man level 80 map rotation all day.
For whatever reason, the days I play the most are the days I RIP the most. I think I'd actually get to 100 faster if I just played like 2 hours a day. I dunno if I just get too tired and stop paying attention or what, but it seems that any day I decide "you know what, I'm gonna get 20% XP toay", it's a recipe for guaranteed RIPs. The icing on the cake last night was ending the night at 58% XP and then having my PC lock up and freeze leap slamming into a pack... RIPppppppppppp So I spent about 12 hours mapping yesterday for a net experience gain of about -2%. Great. I'm running the Vitality, non Vaal Pact version with level 23 empowered triple purities. The question to others playing this variant of the build: when do you normally swap for Saffell and what mods do you avoid?
Do you swap Saffell for elemental reflect maps and caster bosses (i.e. Dominus)? And do you attempt to do elemental reflect + minus max maps? I'm a casual player and dislike active flasking ahead of each mob, excluding boss fights and the occasional rare pack with elemental reflect. Thanks. |
