That gear is not doable for anyone, in a league like that, outside the guys who write the game and can create any item they need.

This is simply more evidence of the massive disconnect between the devs and the players, and is further proof of PoE's sinking ship.

I'm thinking Chris got to use tons of crafting materials to make most of his gear.

Well it's a fine build but uses nothing unique about molten strike(outside one AoE node). Even putting something like point blank would make this build cater to molten strike some more.

Yeah, too many reasonable points have been made for me to use respect as an excuse: I call bullshit on Chris' claim :) Even if it is "technically correct" i.e. there is no trading, but some item generation involved, it's simply a misrepresentation of self-found play.

If nothing else, Chris, you're setting up some new players -- or even the Diaternal supporter from earlier on in the thread -- for disappointment.
Have you made a cool build using The Coming Calamity? Let me know!

This is my main issue with this Botw, not the build itself or the explanation behind it.

But depicting it with gear a "new to the game player" will never reach, while yet calling this a newb friendly oriented Botw edition.

Some common sense should have been used and the build should have been shown "struggling" with the content and ways to overcome that struggle imo.

I still give it an 8/10, while all previous edition only got a 4/10 from me personally.

I hope he makes a small video depicting this build with somewhat appropriate gear to make sure people understand the effectiveness of this build under better RNG oriented gear settings as it is depicted now.

Edit : a truly newb friendly build would have been a magic find summoner or something that is very gear independent and can be utilized to farm gear for next builds imo. While also explaining methods to farm that gear (chaos recipe).

Edit 2 : i also find it weird the "struggle" of a character is never depicted in any of the Botw video's since these are cornerstones of character progression towards endgame.

nice build of the week. i like the detailed explanation. well done!
only criticism is that the shown gear is way too good to be true...

if the shown gear is realistic i must have missed almost everything about how to get good gear in this game and feel like a total noob

if thats correct it looks like its time for some "how to get decent gear" videos with nice detailed explanations plz

Great video and explanation, good tree for Hardcore, but I call bullshit on the gear being self-found. If gear like that was self-found, do you honestly believe there would be so many threads requesting SFL, single player, and higher drop rates?
As a player who's had 0 problems playing his first character self found from anarchy to ambush to lvl80 at least, that gear is totally unreasonable :P
Should put a link to the OP of this thread in the video description. =^[.]^=

Honestly, now i'm excited. If for no other reason than to see that my level 40 RIP was actually better than 3/4 of the playerbase...lol
