Also I got no idea how you can get gear like that within 2 weeks of a hardcore league. Is this what I miss out on by never trading?

This is part of my gear I used on my Nemesis EK Marauder. I took 10 days off and then did a suicide Shrine map to send him to standard. Maybe some people remember the video ;). edit: proof before someone calls bullshit http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/611639

Anyway, I've found the belt and boots on day 2 or 3 of Nemesis. I've bought the 6link on day4 and the Alpha's Howl on day7 or so.

1st, nice video and char suggestion to 2 week race !

2nd, want to get idea, how to get at least 50% of those items when fresh start :)

Sooooo, yep, my wife registered an account in PoE :)

New char, fresh account, no orbs, items, weapons, ... Have 3-4 days to May 10, may reach ~Lvl50 in Invasion, will post progress :)

Because we, old PoE players 99.95% don't believe, that those items can be acquired self-found. Or, hmm, maybe he got all of those in merc ~lvl70? :)

P.S. And will make thread in gameplay to add progress, to ggg staf to not delete this :D

Thats one of the biggest problems this game faces, the loot is even worse than D3 vanilla with their AH balance, many players left the game with the same feedback and nothing is done. Don't getting any upgrade from around level 20 to 50 and ending rage-deleting your own char should never be allowed on a game like this. Don't finding any upgrade from level 60 to 90 (any), either. That makes your desire to play lower and lower, and obviously, you won't make any new char when you see that you reach the same spot where you find nothing unless you trade like a no-lifer. And thats said from someone that made ~10 chars on domination (x4 +80), and just 1 on ambush waiting to see if something changed, but no.

That's why i suicide my lvl86 char in Invasion. There is no point to play when you are forced to play the game in bad gear (and eventually die because of bad gear) and not feel good at all. I was expecting much more from 1.1.3 tbh (as one guy promissed) but nothing happened in the terms of better item@player level progression. A few months ago I persuaded several of my friends to give PoE a shot. Once they barely arrived to Merciless I was being constantly asking when will drop improve because they can't play like this. The result is that absolutely all gone after a few days and that they have no intention ever to return. Unfortunately, I doubt that these several race awards will convince people to return.
Mirror of Kalandra?
Very well done and a great way to show the new skill. Bravo!
Is it just me or is it extraordinarily odd that all gear linked there has 6 affixes?

I don't think in all my time playing I've ever had a character with 6-affix rares in each and every slot. Even when getting some amazingly lucky drops the vast majority of the time they don't have 6 affixes and exalts aren't exactly common enough to start upgrading every great rare I find.

Even in build threads from players playing much, much more than I do with much, much better gear I'm not seeing any gear sets where every item has all 6 affixes, they're amazing pieces but there's always a few pieces with just 4-5 affixes.

Am I missing something here? Is it even more extreme luck, not only getting multiple great affixes on every single piece but also 6 of them on every piece? What's going on?

I found gear fairly realistic for someone putting in 8+ hours a day over two weeks. However, I was suspicious about this too. Generally there will be a few 5 or even 4 mod items that roll better than the 6 mod items. Clearly the character is prioritizing life, then resists, and has made choices accordingly. But it's strange to see all 6 mod items. Wonder if there is a recipe we are missing...

Not that realistic when he said "Example Gear at Level 72". If I read correctly, he have that gear at level 72. Farming for 8h/14 days at places where that gear can drop, you will reach higher level.

Its a good point though, didn't realised that every piece has 6 mods. Not saying Chris is lying, but at least there are a lot of strange things around this.

That gear is completely achievable, if you ACTUALLY use your orbs.

I've always had 3-4+k hp, 75% all res (except chaos) in Hardcore leagues by when farming Sins1/Fellshrine.
I always used my Alchemy Orbs on Prismatic Rings, and pieces I need to improve immediately (like no-life piece or a vendor-recipe weapon).

I've had better gear, nearly the same gear when farming for it and using my orbs.

People can cry about drops being bad, but you have to play around that. And, imo, that is where bad players fall apart, because they have no idea how to.

Sadly this is a common issue, I read it from time to time. People arrange other friends to play this game, those friends feel bored when they reach merciless and nothing drops. Is even worse when they see that every single unique they find at those levels are level 10-20 items with no use for them. There should be a middleground. Most of us don't want BiS items raining every time we kill a skeleton, but after days of grind we expect much better gear than the one that drops. Won't say a thing about crafting, is just horrendous to start with with the current orb drop rate.
