Please consider allowing me to turn off environmental audio and visual clutter which don't affect the outcome of the game. I am desperate to improve performance and be able to play in areas where the time spent playing is worth the time spent playing.
Players running harvest and blight are getting 144 fps. I am getting 4, sometimes less than one. So much busy busy. I would prefer a simplified version that ran better way more than one that looks awesome but i can't run T14s. Ive put the time in. Ive grinded and ive geared but i'm stuck in the middle still. There might be a way to help retention by addressing this issue. I can't be the only one. Probably make more money from people who love the game again instead of quitting for good. I am past the point of believing that a new build will do the trick. I see so many getting so "rich" but I can't Would you please consider giving people like me a way to turn off the fancy so that we can get better performance? I have to play the game you've made in response to how well the 144fps crowd is playing. So that's it I guess. Thanx for reading. And thanx in advance for all the lols from the peanut gallery. (K) |

" Well sorry to say but there will never be good performance in PoE. During sentinel league i bought GTX 1080 ti and it made me have 60 fps on medium/high settings, next league my fps dropped from stable 60 to unstable 30 on LOWEST settings, i mean if they reduce performance in a single patch by 60%, dont expect anything, another example was last league, i had about 30 fps and mid league they added "performance" patch which reduced me to 5 seconds per frame, i couldnt do a single map like i used to before the patch. |

Great game guys. I have just a couple small points of constructive criticism that I hope you integrate into part two. First, Changing gear messes up your skill binds, and that ought not to happen. It takes a while to get all the new sockets right after you change gear, and it's always an unpleasant surprise to see that your skills are all screwed up. In the sequel, if the skill system is similar, please disable the bound skills which were removed, rather than removing them from binding entirely. It's extremely annoying.
One more bit of constructive criticism -- You might encourage backbar utilization more. On PS4, for example, it's such a pain to switch to your second weapon, it's not even worth fooling with. I just found an Iron Commander Death Bow, and I thought it would be epic to backbar it on my groundslam build with iron grip for big critters that hit up close and personal. As of now, I fudged together some projectile move (lancing steel) for that purpose which I plan on upgrading with Atziri's Axe sometime within the next day or two. A lot of players just one-button-smash their way through the whole game, and I thought these two tips would add some variety which might help retention and revenue in the long run. Just my two cents. Edit: I wanted to add one last thing. I get a lot of stalkers both online and offline, and I'm not sure if this game sticks the same players in the same instances frequently on purpose, but it looks creepy rather than play-datey. In any case, people don't like play-dates. Hopefully, I've embarrassed them all sufficiently enough by now to gtfo and quit scaring the women away. Online games (or, online in general) are a terrible place to make friends, but people like to cycle through the masses quickly to see where they fit in rather than getting stuck with rando annoying ppl. Path of Exile has always had so much potential, but has never managed to live up to most of it.
So... *POE is a GOOD game. *If it was properly balanced. It would be GREAT *If it didn't have 'compulsory/empty/false choices and allocations' then it would be AWESOME and easier for new players. (and so would just about every game made after the year 2k before replacing enginuity and thought/effort..... with it) *If it didnt' have lower level and dud items dropping in high level areas, it would be SPECTACULAR. *If they stopped being so wishy-washy it would be THE GAME. Most levels gained are not exciting, the same goes with most items. Key components should all be part of the character/tree ONLY, styles, skills and effects should all be part of the items ONLY. PLAYER LEVELS SHOULD NOT BE NEGATED BY ITEMS. Gone are the days when a player would get excited about gaining a level because it gave them the 2 points of dexterity needed to equip the item they found and saved. *Which comes to the biggest problem..... EVERYTHING that could be itemized is, and just to make it 'balanced' (like a 5 minute -30% resistance fix) everything you can get from an item you can get in the tree..... So, you get to choose to use either, but along with all of the braindead 'compulsory/false choices' that replace enginuity and effort, (For some reason after the year 2k this has become a staple for so much content.....) it also makes both character levels and items feel worthless. **Would you think it is a great game, if you stacked damage only glass cannon character and then died on your third map because your 30k damage, 30k degen and -50% regen aura weren't enough to move the hp bar on a rare and you were running an Oba's map when it hit? (Lack of balance. They never fully fixed that rare re-vamp...) **Would you get excited over getting a level and getting 10int on your level when the highest item you can equip has a 43int requirement, but your wearing an astramentis and have 170? (Items negating level value.) **Would you be excited over choosing a 10dex node, when your it is your fifth one, adds practically zero difference to attack or defense, but you need to, to get marks, because the mark node is the only one that can beat degen until you accumulate enough damage? (Tree layout and lack of balance.) **Would you get excited over getting a level 30 necklace that increases your melee damage by 20% if you have to take off your necklace that gives you 30% bonus damage just from the 150str that same necklace gives you? (Lower requirement items having too big bonus over higher level ones. Also balance again...) **Would you feel excited to have a level 1 ring unique drops in a level 83 map when you are level 90 and have 20 of them in your stash because rolling unique chest pieces is how desperate for drop value you are? (Items of lower levels dropping in higher zones) **Would you feel excited when your level 30 character drops a unique that doesn't suit your build, but instead of a jackpot it is dirt, because back in the day you could have got a chaos for it, but now you can't even sell it because there are 5 million dropped from level 83 maps on the AH and if you miss the message, nobody is going to waste 30 mins or re-message for a 1 transfusion orb priced item? I could probably go on and on..... because there is so much wrong, and it is SO simple and apparent that an Analyst could spend a year on it. *****I don't expect GGG to fix PoE 1, but with how much time and money and effort they seem to be throwing into PoE2, I sure hope they remember the good old days playing D2 and have give PoE2 the distinction it deserves. (Instead of the -development- 'blob' that they have turned PoE into. Apply the 'more is good' motto to Content only please.....) Universal Law - Balance

Hey. Congratulations on the sequel. I hear a lot of people online complaining of the game being too hard. Just want to say, please don't listen to them
I am, not a huge gamer of ARPG, because they seemed boring to me. What is the point of all progression, gear grinding etc, when you just one shot room after room. I remember was exited of D4, since it looked like the vibe of a game i was looking for after Elder Ring. However halfway to the second act, i just kept repeating same few skills, and remember got sleepy, since none challenge meant i don't have to engage with game at all, just autopilot. I am afraid, if you make the game easier, the same could happen there, and i think a lot of people like me want to get into the genre, but there is no point of engaging in systems, when only difference is you kill a mob room in 2 instead of 3 seconds. I am oversimplifying but i think you get the point. The souls games is a good example that there is a market for experiences like that, hart pounding boss battles, engaging combat focusing not just on RAW stats but player skill. Second point i just don't want this game to be too bloated with skills. I remembered playing POE one getting exited of the game, but when I saw how endgame moment to moment game-play, clearing rooms in fraction of second with flashes of absurd spell effects covering whole screen, just looked too bloated for my taste. Hope this game will look cleaner and more tactical in the endgame. Although maybe it is just the nature of the beast. In sumary two suggestions: Don't make it easier (or add a optional easy mode), Dont bloat the engame ;) Thanks for the best ARPG experience i played. |
