Even some of the most pro of pro-GGG fans will tell you there are some severely broken fundamental designs of PoE among a lot of very, very, good, amazing, brilliant designs.

Because they care.

While others will blatant fanboi without a care, if the ship sinks, wtf, they just move to another company and repeat the blind fanboism.

What they don't realise, is, they are every developer's worse nightmare. They don't give the feedback the company wants, they don't tell the company what is wrong, to better the future, they praise and convince that all is well, all the time, with every design and decision. If that wasn't bad enough, they actively try to remove anyone not doing the same from actually giving feedback.

Well said.

I don't think I was impacted by this incident because I was having a dinner break.

But all the people who lost the level 20 gems their builds depend on really got the shaft here. Saying sorry after you take a shit on someone's face doesn't do anything because they still have shit on their face.

If anyone needs gems to replace stuff they had removed just contact me on standard and I can try to repair the damage by giving you some free level 1 gems to replace the stuff you depend on.

Not doing a rollback was a pretty stupid decision. Not only am I out the quest gems I picked up during the time, I lost a pair of gloves along with a MTX in them.

I'll contact support but since I've yet to receive a race reward from SEASON 5 yet in the same sort of "issue", I have little hope that this will be resolved...

I'd think that MTX issues would take priority over race reward oddities. Considering race reward/pts issues happen often enough (so likely not an easy fix). But this is rather big. GL

I'm in an abusive relationship with life. It keeps beating the hell out of me and I'm too cowardly to leave it.

I wasn't on during the 18 minutes of item corruption, and I was surprised to hear that it happened. Even the best make the occasional odd (admittedly big) mistake.

What matters (in my opinion) is that the problem was admitted to and that of all the possible fixes available, the one that was best for everyone was chosen; and done so in a very transparent way.

You all at GGG have my sincere thanks and respect.
It's perfectly fine; GGG. Mistakes happen; and in light of the mistakes that took place, it's still impressive you all could respond so quickly and still keep the game up and running un-interrupted. Very good job. And regardless; for a majority of those who were playing at the time it was absolutely entertaining, and we were even writing it off as an early playoff to "April Fools." Yes, it was very fun to witness.

However what's even more appreciated is the level of detail you divulge to us, your players. Makes me glad to be one of your customers. Carry on the good work guys.
bought a 1h from the vendor and lost it with all 3 gems i had been leveling in it.

It did create a hassle. I think I know a solution that would not negatively effect the PoE economy. Countless games have done it as an apology to their users for an error on their part. Everyone that was logged in at the time of the error should get some coins to use on a micro-transaction or two? Just spitballing here... Might ease some flared tempers.
RIP Solstice
