Shockingly strong flamethrower build (Incinerate + Three Dragons)

would a doryani's invitation with fire leech make a large enough survivability difference to be used with this build effectively?
the 8 life on hit from cybils is applied instantly just like a vaal pact life leech

now with echo and 16+ casts per second that is a huge survivability increase

a high roll doryanis will give you more damage though and also a possible 4 link with proliferation for a cold snap or freeze mine etc

thanks alot for testing it and letting everyone know how it works. I was already expecting this gem to replace 'faster casting'.

Can the tooltip still show accurately the amount of casts/second you have with echo?

Tooltip only show casts/s of primary casts with the More cast speed added.

This also opens up possibilities in 5L & 6L combinations in that you might want to run Faster Casting with Spell Echo to raise casts/s up really high to take advantage of Cybil's mod. However big downside to this is probably Lightning Thorns, which pre-change Incinerate users already has issues with, and the need to solidify Spell Block as a countermeasure in high levels.

I'll probably do another Incinerate Witch on the next 4 month league, probably non Hardcore this time so I won't have to re roll too many times :)

yes this is a very good and valid point. One should only get 'echo' as soon as they have their spell block fixed! Else you will certainly get rekt

yes, please read page 15&16 of this thread, where 1-2 people mention their experience with this gem on this build

If you actually need the fire leech, then I would advise just swapping fire pen with life leech. 1% lifeleech isnt supereffective as the damage hits are pretty small. For instance the cybil's paw will have loads more lifeleech than this. But I guess it will help a bit ;)

if I use the Doryani's Invitational and the Doryani's Catalyst, points spent in the block chances are still useful or should I spend it in another way?

Yes. Block + Spell Block combined together are one of the best defence mechanics at end-game. Point-wise in the passive tree, it only requires 7 points and the rest of it comes from Rathpith, Stone of Lazhwar, Tempest Shield.

EDIT: Also, there's the new unique Granite Flask, Rumi's Concoction that will be very useful in replacing Iron Skin Granite flasks.

Could you possibly break down the skill tree to show the order to get them in?

Sure, i mentioned this a bit in the guide. But here he goes:

- Take the life nodes in the right branch of the witch tree (mana-->mana regen-->life and mana --> life)
- I would personally go to the left side then, take all the life nodes in the templar tree (also purity of flesh) and maybe some of the elemental damage + elemental resistance, also take the 40% mana regen
- Take the life nodes to the right side (written in blood) and eldritch battery (you might need this sooner)
- Now you can kindof choose yourself, if youre ready for 3-dragons with added lightning, take the shock chance, if you need block chance (e.g. you have stone of lahzwar and spellblock-shield (either rathpith or saffell)) you can take the block chance nodes. If you need mana regen, go more towards the right side.
- When you have all your life nodes, take the leftover damage nodes. E.g. fire damage, cast speed, blaze

good luck
