World first Ambush Atziri kill

It really bothers me that they're promoting this type of play as being successful, simply because he killed their boss. It's really a sign that GGG is giving up on making a game that I'd want to play.

What type of play do you mean? It's a solid build that he designed and posted on the forums months ago. Is it ranged? Yeah, it is, and I think melee will have a helluva time with this fight, but what is so bothersome about his build?

Im just telling you you missed the point about players saying its crap items - not because they hating, but because they want to insinuate its very cheap for a new league - it aint at all, especially relying on 2 exalt-costing uniques. Its a big no no for a cost effective new league build. So he obv plays like mad every day, or else. As for the kill, gratz to him, whatever, if I took a few days off work and had nothing else to do [Removed by Support], I would do it too. Ez when death is of no consequence.

Can someone please explain to me why everyone keeps saying his gear is so shitty? It appears to me like he has insane +life and +elemental resist rolls that would cost a fortune to try and reproduce or purchase.

I'll help explain I guess. Why my gear is being called shit so often is because there have been several popular threads so far about how Atziri is the be all end all of hard and it's unlikely to be done in anything short of all mirrored gear. When you consider 1 mirror runs 150ex and my build cost 10% of one mirror then by comparison it all looks like trash and is super budget.

As for a breakdown:
I alt regal'd that foil when I hit docks, cost me maybe 50 alts.
Bought the Alpha for 5ex worth of stuff (one of the first so it cost me alot)
Bought a fresh Lightning Coil for 5c and jeweled/linked it myself. Took around 200 jewelers, 100 fusings.
Gloves, belt, boots all ran 10c each.
Both rings I found/made myself. Amulet I made myself which is entirely used for it's WED roll, the rest of the stats are worthless.
Shield I pumped about 10c into to make myself and only the all res life and evasion is useful. I'm heavily overcapped on fire resist so it's not even as half good as it looks.

Now in my opinion if you're after the endest of end game here and want to kill the big boss, I don't think this gear is too much to ask for. If you're talking about playing a few hours here and there and never seeing the kind of currency it takes to have this gear then I'm afraid your goal was never to do the hardest stuff or last boss anyway so what does it matter?

DPS? The shorter the fight, the less chances to be one shot, the faster you can leech back to full health after taking a storm call hit.

Cool story, what with leech being capped per second. FA = an additive not multiplicaitve ias, it wont make the fight much quicker, he already has high aps. And more aps = more blood magic drain, gg. Yeah, FA is gonna make it sooooo much more easier or add such a huge increase in dps / kill time bar a marginal one. Much more easier would be going from 20k to 40k dps, fx.

And whats with the ad hominem, it usually tells me my opponent is losing man. Stick to facts. Where are they?

Im not trying to ruin the fun, I dont CARE for scrubcore at all. Its not an achievement to me, in any way.

Lol, i think you missed the point of the point that it doesnt matter what anyone thinks as long as they keep it to themselves, at least if its nothing good they can post about it.

Like with homophobic people, they have to beat people up or verbally harrass others instead of just ignoring it.

I came into this thread with the best of wishes for the guy who did something he felt he had to try. Others are just hating for the sake of spreading hate.

Thats your opinion, I and others can say what we want and it matters to some. I aint hating or jealous man, I am repeating for the third time, SC is SC there is no achievement to it.

I wanted to correct ppl that this aint cheap for new league start, is all.

No he's absolutely right. A 6 link would have made my life infinitely easier and I wasn't planning on going in until I had mine made. After sinking the last of my currency into trying to 6 link a coil I felt I had no choice but to go try anyway. I scraped by on dps for the adds.

If I had 50% faster attacks I would have went up about 20-30% of my dps which would make those adds a breeze. Having more dps would have made certain parts of the fight faster too which stresses your surviving less.
