Path of Exile: Sacrifice of the Vaal Full Information

Doesn't sound so good for the Solo player since GGG makes no mention and hasn't made any mention of single player or solo--only Steam seems emphatic listing the PoE clearly as Single Player. I think that should change unless you keep tons of town portals handy when needed and know how to rescue your sorry butt often with them. I think I will try to finish Merciless if I can but then give the game a break at least until Act 4. Maybe by then GGG will make up its mind whether to cater to Solo at all and whether to make more out of the game then hack and slash? I miss real action adventure. The focus on nothing but hack and slash and gear development all the time with bosses a real pain doesn't make good sense to me.

I appreciate the work that went into the expansion and I look forward to the new leagues.

I'm a bit saddened by an even stronger focus on group play (this was why I eventually quit MMOs and thought I'd return to my multiplayer roots, as my lifestyle and professional life don't allow for extended periods of playing with others) and by having exclusive, otherwise unavailable cosmetic rewards for an extremely small number of players who play all day or who RMT. This, too, was one of the reasons that killed other online games for me.

It is unfortunate that GGG heads in this direction now, too. I still have my own goals in the game and I enjoy the game as such, but the direction is a concern an feels disheartening to me.

Can support gems be corrupted? lvl 4 empower?

So excited for this new update, especially considering it adds extra difficulty with the new Corrupted Areas/bosses but balances this with the Vaal Skill Gems and Corrupted Items which take some of the difficulty edge off. I like that the Corrupted Areas are optional as opposed to being compulsory to advance within the game as if you're a more Softcore player who doesn't want the difficulty spike, you can always trade currencies for the items found in these areas if you don't want to die OR feel that your character isn't solid enough. Overall, the amount of content that this patch provides will add some more replay value to the game until the next huge patch.

Side note, can't wait to watch the PoE streamers like ZiggyD, Willy Wonka and Kripp play through the new content and the new builds the community comes up with that incorporate the new skills/items.

Well thanks but, we all want the option to play a Perm Cut-Throat league.


Don't see why you cant give us this option and put a disclaimer on it as a not recommended league ect,

I have to say that i'm slightly disapointed :(

A lot of great features of course but the new leagues are not really appealing like previous ones.
Random mobs for HC isn't really fun imo.
We already have to spend currencies to roll maps i won't even try to reroll ambush boxes either.

As for vaal orbs, it's an other layer of RNG on top of all the previous layers :s. I don't think i'll ever use one :(
