I would definitely change the gloves unless you really really need the leech :D

Everything else looks pretty decent, but the chestpiece might be better rolling a flat Evasion stat instead of the 42% evasion you have now :) And quality it :D

why not teking lethality in the lower tree?

Hi! As you can see, my build is probably one of the only ones who use RoA, and in conjunction with that Point Blank. The extra points needed to get to Point Blank means I have to take them out of somewhere else, and to me the Lethality cluster was the best place to do it.

Depending on your resists, I would go with the Maligaro's. If the Life on the Dragonscale was higher and had dual res, I would definitely take that instead as surviving and doing DPS is better than dead and doing no DPS :D

I take it as I play very aggressively, frequently in melee or near melee range. Most other builds use skills like Split Arrow and Lightning Arrow, where the further you are the safer you are, the smaller cone spread you can achieve. RoA however, in a way attacks horizontally in that it lands from the air, and it will only travel where you point it to. That 50% is huge damage!

This makes it so you can control exactly where you want the RoA to land. RoA hits for the same damage regardless of how many mobs are in the area. Any and all increase in damage will apply to anything in the way of a Rain of Arrows shower :D

Another possibly silly question:

How noticeable is the drop in radius using Concentrated Effect? I'm certain the dps bump would be noticeable, but at the moment, i love the splash radius of RoA. is it something I should just get used to as a RoA user and bite the bullet and socket in CE?

I am sure Sam will chime in - but since I tried an RoA build once hoping not to use Concentrated Effect and keep the area large...it was almost unplayable bad. I couldn't even get tooltip over like 9k (ot was a non crit build) with a 5L Lioneyes, level 20 gem and decent gear. Math doesn't work in Rain's favor - there is nothing exceptional about the skill in terms of effectiveness or multiplier. It really needs the massive 60-70% more multiplier from Concentrated Effect to be viable.

If you want to extend the area radius some, Carcass Jack is your best bet. Don't give up CE.

RoA alone is pretty meh, but with CE the damage needed to compete is there. The range is pretty small but works fine for me. Should you want a close to stock RoA radius, as Asidra has mentioned, Carcass Jack is possibly your best (or only) choice while maintaining the same amount of DPS with CE!
