One Week Nemesis Race Infographic

It absolutely blows me away that people are able to get lev 90 in one week!!

Been playing one year and my highest lev char ever is 83 heh...

No wonder, as it is alot easier to get higher Armour with Grace combined with IR, than with Determination and pure Armour gear. With my lvl 83 Mara it's a difference of around 2k armour between the 2 of them, both being same lvl.

And I really liked the Infographic!

I can't imagine many people went evasion only with no IR in the race. And if they did, they didn't last long. :)

I was pretty fast 71 (1d12h playtime, but more like 1d6h, afk standing around for a while :O) with evasion only, around 15k evasion, 66 and 67 maps were np.
Before you asked why I died and if IR would have saved me... no! I died to brain afk docks farming to 2 extra projectile rare dogs with haste aura :( If only I were 2lvls faster @phase acrobatics <_<

IR is overrated, in most situations evasion > armor, especially with such nice talents like Ondar's Guile (which is the best talent ingame atm imo)
Thanks for the infographic GGG, I really enjoyed it even though it didn't teach me anything personally.

Scion OP, already knew that (even made a topic about it but people mass disagreed with me).
Iron reflexes OP (especially in races), already knew that - grace + determination free elo shower.
Resolute Technique pretty good in races - obvious, don't think it's bad in untimed play either.
Most deaths in tidal island normal - I expected this too. It's the earliest part of the game that's pretty difficult and because it is so early it was probably run more than any other difficult part artificially increasing numbers. Not just that, the area is also simply really hard. At the start players may be in a rush because they have that 'race' feel and may walk in a 2nd-form-ice-spear and receive a crit, followed by a crit, by a crit...
Iron Grip - a bit surprising, I knew spectral throw was going to be big but I thought it would be more elementally oriented.
Whispers of Doom - expected to see more use. You can really power through the game with enfeeble + temp chains + frozen ground + flametotem with blind/smoke mine. I guess the dominance of iron reflexes kind of lowered the usage of whispers of doom as iron reflexes is on the bottom of the tree and you can't evade attacks (well you can, it's 5% even with IR if you don't take unwavering stance) making enfeeble less powerful as well as temporal chains because blinds will expire faster.
Necromantic Aegis and Conduit - very, very surprising. Summoners are pretty ridiculous (especially with the cast on death mine snapshotting of spectres) and conduit is just an amazing tool to do content that would otherwise not be worth it on the risk/reward base.
Beyond league.
Wow, I didn't realize IR was THAT popular. I never take it anymore since it's surrounded by dex nodes and all of my builds would have to spend at least 5 skill points to get it. I just try and use all Armor gear instead of evasion gear, and determination instead of grace.

It's a bit overrepresented in these type of races because with no gear and not knowing what you may get, the security from the massive grace + determination boost (and you will typically run in a party anyway) is extremely desirable. As a bonus, endurance charges will be more effective with high armor and now you can use both stat boosting flasks (jade and granite) to their full potential, whereas a granite doesn't really add that much in an acrobatics build and a jade doesn't double dip into anything either.

There are some balance concerns in the stats which we will look at addressing at the new content and league cycle.

Scions were prevalent in the one week league, and take a lot of the same space as Witches and Shadows, reducing the numbers in these classes. Shadow appears to need attention specifically.

While the keystones used were influenced a little by players following specific examples, clearly Iron Reflexes is too dominant in this short format.

We will also be specifically looking at death rates for specific areas.

Please bear in mind that the reason iron reflexes is taken by basically every-one is a direct result of evasion being broken as a mitigation stat. and NOT because iron reflexes is to strong you nerfed it once before and the numbers of people taking it reminded unchanged because even after the massive nerf it is still better than evasion.

Simply make evasion the same as armor i.e you have avoided a portion of the damage and have done with it. Please stop making poor skills seem better by nerfing the good ones it makes us rage i.e removing grace from IR (cos we know thats what you are thinking) dont do this please thanks lol.

Barely clocked in at #19 :D

Had roughly 4 days and 11 hours /played. Not sure how much the people in top10 had, but I'd be very shocked if they had less. Although they had some pretty insane map rng early on.

IR being picked in most builds is not a surprise tbh, evasion is too rng based to be viable on hardcore leagues. Think 1 guy in top10 ended up instakilling himself just because of a hexfront mob using projectile weakness in a split second.

CT should be around the art of PKing and not griefing lower levels.

Can you post this same data for current nemesis and domination leagues or near the end?

This is incredibly interesting from a balance perspective, particularly overuse or IR and underuse of VP.
