Number of hits?
Or mixt of these?
ZiggyD is the Labyrinth of streamers, some like it, some dont, but GGG will make sure to push it down ur throat to make you like it
I really don't like this skill, at least not as a minion. I suppose it would be interesting if it were a projectile.

What makes summoners fun for me is precisely the fact that I don't have to do much; the minions do all the work. I remember falling in love with the necromancer during the very brief time I spent playing D2 (I only got to try it for the first time 2-3 years ago), because I loved how I could casually walk around and grab loot while my minions were busy killing things.

I can see the necessity for Summon Skeletons. Personally, I use them to get the ball rolling, since they are quite good at killing things. That said, I would not consider making skeletons an integral part of my build without Spell Totem.

This spell, however, doesn't fit into my concept of a summoner. In fact, had it not been advertised as a minion spell, I NEVER would have guessed that it was. It seems better suited to a fire-based caster.

In short, I'm very disappointed with this, and I don't see myself ever using it.
Maybe it will make the mob that it hits take 25% more damage from summons? That would be cool and useful.

Though this minion might replace the skellbrotem with a spell totem casting these crazy skulls

So, don't use it then?

You're not required to use all minion skills as a summoner. Giving people options is a good thing.
I hope that this will prevent all summoners from being cookie cutter.

Not likely.

In gaming, even a 1% advantage can be the difference between an ability being accepted as viable or labeled junk.

The skill will be analyzed, parsed and either become part of a new cookie cutter build or discarded.
