New 1.0.5 Vendor Recipe
" This btw, it took me about 6 runs of the southern forest normal to get me 10 hamers, took like 8 minutes.... 1 chisel = ~1 alch, 3 lvl 66 maps = ~1 alch so u make can make about and alch per minute. that is 1 ex in a little mor then an hour wtf is wrong with you people, spend 1+ hour with a + quantity geared char every week and u get plenty of chisels OR be happy that chisels are more available and may even go down in price because for some people it will be a way to make currency to climb up the wealth ladder... |

I just finished filling a stash tab full of stone hammers to see how tiresome it is.
With 160% IIQ it took almost an hour grinding low level areas. I have to agree with most of you. A recipe for endgame that requires low level grinding doesn't make much sense unless they significantly increase the drop rate of stone hammers in high level areas/maps to even it out. IGN: Rakkarnoth

sorry chris but the effort to get a 20% stone hammer is vastly more than the effort to simply farm a chaos or regal and sell it for chisels.

"You're pretty bad at math, no offense. Finding the hammers is pretty easy, I picked up like three in Fellshrine in about 10 minutes, and getting a white hammer to Q20 takes only four whetstones. I bought a ton of whetstones today at 40:c, if you don't take into consideration the "cost" of finding the hammers or the 66 maps (which I find all over the place and don't use) that means you can generate 10 chisels per chaos and at the current rate that's somewhere between 3-5 chaos. One chaos and a little time for 3-5 chaos, not bad. |

" Lol, indeed. Talk about people not seeing the wood for the trees. But yeah, the perfect solution to farming low level content for materials to access high level content is to require us to farm even lower level content. NOT Please, just make every map boss (even, say, lvl 72+ map bosses) drop a chisel an alc and a chaos. Simple, people can farm the 72-74 bracket un-chiselled (not as faceroll as 66-68 or lunaris or act 1 normal). And acquire mats at a better rate to roll their 75-78s. Reason to do map boss, easier rolled high tier maps helping to sustain themselves and mid-high maps which are helping to sustain themselves and high tier maps. Not chaining 77/78s but not facerolling 66-68s. Casually casual. Last edited by TheAnuhart#4741 on Jan 6, 2014, 4:19:31 PM

Surprised GGG hasnt comented back about this vendor recipe.
This seems to be the most controversial unliked change i've seen so far. I hope to god they are reading everyones responses... because this recipe makes NO damn sense. "Success is not the absence of failure. Success is persistence through failure."

" +1 I like this idea This recipe is BS for everyone that could possibly be involved: 1.) Its BS when you level your mapping char, because when you loot lots of stone hammers, you dont loot (spare) low maps, requiring you to have a lot of extra stash space to save the hammers, until you will have (spare) low maps. 2.) Its BS for low level players because considering the 1 alc / fuse = 1 chisel trade price, how much could they possibly earn for a hammer? And more importantly why would a high lvl. player go thorugh the hassle of buying hammers and whetstones and... if he can just buy chisels directly. 3.) And its total BS for your mapping char because it requires you to grind level 15 monkeys for stupid hammers, while all you want to do is play endgame maps. It could possibly be useful only in the situation when you already have a high mapping char with lots of spare maps and you are leveling another char, so you can do the recipe as you go. On the first glance its seems; cool, we got and additional source of chisels that we didnt have before, but what we (endgame players) really got is another reason for doing boring braindead faceroll content...
