I would venture a guess of no, but that's pure speculation.

At least in small races I knew if I survived or got to a certain point I could accumulate points and at least work towards something.

This, however, is a huge waste of time for less-involved players (who do races) but don't have the ability to be a top 40 winner.

And I agree, the ones who normally will make these prizes have already won a lot this season, so to me it's just a race for them and not for the thousands of us who would like to play this but don't see ANY reward for out time...


ESPECIALLY if you don't die, put in the week's worth of effort with NOTHING to show for it. It's a waste and kind of an insult to be placating to the elite.

What would be interesting would be some races for beginners, i.e. the mere mortals who try to race and gasp at how quickly the elite get to level 20, when you are still level 6.

- They haven't scored over a certain number of points in previous ladders

etc.

You get my drift, if GGG can reward the elite then reward the mortals too :)

Jesus Christ the expectations of some gamers, this is beyond ridiculous. You want rewards for being bad at this game?! Why don't you try to figure out how to level faster, how to be better at racing and all that, then you deserve your meaningless pixel rewards. Not the other way around.

GGG even catered to the players and made this a 1week Nemesis race with Domination mods and ALL your precious achievements will count towards the 4 month leagues. Why the fuck are you people still complaining? Prizes, really? And to the guys calling for solo races cause otherwise the "elite" will always win, you wouldn't be able to win anything in a solo race either cause you refuse to get better or invest sufficient time and rather whine on forums all day. And don't give me "I can't no-life like these losers, I have a life!!" If you can't invest the time you won't reap the rewards, welcome to any fucking activity ever. Please point me to the guy who became a doctor within 3 months, I'd like to see that.

Only thing that's lacking is the abysmal prize structure. Rewarding 40 people out of 10,000 is awful and not motivating at all for 99% of players. Though i understand you don't have much to work with. Definitely points out that your off-season prize methodology in general could use a lot of work. Maybe a really common type of sub-Demigod item that won't impact the economy.

Here is my suggestion. Do a 1 week at the end of every season. Use the rewards from the current season as incentive to participate in the 1 week. Something like this with the # rewarded tweaked

2 Demi's for top 20
1 Demi for next 20
1 Axium for anyone in top 100
1 Perandus for anyone in the top 250
1 Queen's Decree for anyone in the top 500
1 Le Heup for anyone in the top 750
1 Distillate for anyone in the top 1000
1 Gifts from Above for anyone in the top 1500

+ Random Raffles

Give people a GOOD chance and getting those high point rewards that were out of reach during the season.
