Hardcore Character Restoration after 1.0.1 Carrion Queen Bug

Heavily disagree with this decision..
Many times during the past months of onlaught certain bugs killed hundreds and hundreds of characters and none was restored. Some were quite similar with increased monster damage and im pretty sure it could be tracked as well..Whatever

I don't get this. I didn't see how they were any harder. I must have really missed something. I ran into a dozen while they were apparently super hard. Only thing I noticed is that they were moving more. Maybe I just didn't notice how much they moved in all my other encounters with them, but I didn't see how they were harder. Perhaps I'm overleveled.

Characters are already restored to Standard league with items upon hilariously unfortunate deaths. Completely unnecessary rollback. /Troll laugh - tehehehehehe.

On a more serious note, GGG just a established a precedence they cannot take back. People will expect this in the future.

I have to agree with this, people will just QQ when they die again due to "maybe" another bug and demand to restore again since ggg have already done it in the past.

This is a slippery slope GGG just decided to step on. Every time a bug kills a character now there will be hordes of people crying on the forums wanting their character restored. Might as well take the warning you agree to before starting a HC character out too.

This was the first content update after the release of the game. There are tons of new players, and the largest amount of players in a 4m HC league ever. The first patch introduces a bug where a common enemy does absurd damage, and ******700+******* players die in HC modes. I'll repeat that, 700+ to carrion queens.

I was in cruel with 2.4k life and 72 fire res, a bit under leveled. If it was not for leap slam and leech, and a little experience, I would have ripped. And experience or not, on a higher level map I probably would've been 1 shotted. I knew right away it was a bug, although I thought the resist might have been bugged rather than the enemy (that is until I got to crema and had skeletons wailing on me for no damage).

It would've taken 3 shots from a non-LMP rare to kill me, based on the two shots I took.

If GGG did not restore the characters, there would've been a lot of really pissed players, many new ones. Now, we just have these strange idealists whining. So GGG made the better choice.

Meanwhile we have all this complaining about CwDT, about testing, etc etc. Imagine if instead the same people were killed by beastmode Carrion Queens, how much of a shitstorm that would've been. "GGG doesn't even test their monsters, you call this release!?" That is what it would've been.

Great move Chris, if people can't understand why Chris did this, well read his post again, read it carefully and this time make sure your mom isn't talking to you while you're reading the post again. You still don't understand the reason behinds that move? sorry but we can't help you but keep in mind that it was a necessary move, it doesn't matter if you disagree, they had to do it.

I do have to say I'm amazed that through 18 pages of posts there was not a single standard/domination player who died to this bug asking for the xp they lost to be restored as well.
