Solo players lose the +3 max all res above 75 that purity would give in alphas.
They can still get the resistances from purity or the resistances from one of the single elements and the +max from that single one. These gems are all different colours, though. So it isn't as simple as choosing one for the map you are doing. And, many map bosses do all 3 elements.

Group players gain +3 (or more) max res above 75 to every element, as well as the resists from the auras, as well as the resists from purity. A 6 man group can easily run every aura in the game and require very little resistances on gear.

What you need to consider here, is that a member of a 6 man party without any auras, takes less damage than a solo player, to a massive degree. Yet, with 1.0 and 1.0.1, here we are buffing group offence and defence even more and reducing solo defence and offence again. At the same time, reducing gear requirement for grouping even further.

Rather disappointed by that. I quite enjoyed the rather mediocre benfit of only getting +2%, but keeping an interestng option for Alpha's users and +increased effect of auras passives..

The bolded part would be true if GGG would make the three gem into the same base stat value, as it is now you would have to reroll the color of the sockets every time, witch i hope they where just overlooking, and hopefully change if nothing else.

Nerfing Purity absolutely hits groups harder than solo players, since an aura is a group buff.

Ultimately, you would sound less like a whiny child if you pointed out how adding three additional resist auras is a stupid idea, rather than stomping your feet and screaming about how tough the game is with a slightly weaker Purity.
Those three gems should be all white, like portal. As they are now, no way you can switch them tactically before boss fights.

They could change Kraityn reward from +8% allres to +2% max res, since i know nobody who takes that 8% from him, but 2% max would be something considerable.

You're missing the point, a group can with ease fit in the 3 different resist auras.

hey there. I was thinking about this since I read about the purity split and maybe I have come with a viable solution to balance the auras in solo and party

You do things that notbody asks you for JUST TO DO ANYTHING?!
While all of the problems that are really urgent are untouched... just because you have no idea to solve them?! Thats the picture i get...

NO ONE needs an empower, enhance, enchant or whatever gem. No one needs a split of AURAS. The mechanisms in this game are complex enough.

You promised us to level up out of maps. Now what. The only region that is useful for that (Lunaris) has been degraded to level 66...

Make your homework. Add the missing pieces in this game, like many missing graphics.

JUST DONT NERF good stuff, because no on uses SHIT stuff. This is totally lack of creativity on your side. Anyone can do this, I thought you can do better.
THE CHALLENGE IS make the BAD STUFF MORE INTERESTING. This game is not "Free 2 Play" anymore.... it is more like "FORCED 2 Play (Skills)".

If you nerf CoDT one of the best ideas in the last time I quess you will certainly hear the shit storm.

So please stop making patches like this... your recent moves are totally sensless to me and I will not support this.

Group buff does not mean it doesn't affect the person casting it when not grouped.


Are you purposely avoiding the glaring point that the group can run all 3 of the new auras as well as purity, as well as every other aura and buff in the game?

That is not a group nerf, that is a solid group buff. The new auras will also give MORE +max resists than purity.

Now tell me how a group member with the benefits of purity and all 3 element auras, with more +max and less required resists on gear is hit harder than a solo player.

This is going to be good :)
