Yes I read the part about you can get 6 more from the tree...

Well maybe it will turn out good after all...GG has done a nice job so far

Skeletons haven't been terribly affected in my opinion. We get 50% less from the skill, about 33% less total with passives. They're given 50% more base life, which will make minion life passive / support much greater on them. The net effect is fewer skeletons with vastly improved durability. Total dps from a maxed horde will be reduced overall, but their enhanced longivety makes them more viable as a primary summons, and increases damage from MI, while cutting down on server lag by reducing the number of models on screen.

Zombies I'm not sold on yet, seems they've been downgraded about as much as skeletons have been upgraded. Which is fine by me, as I plan to respec as an aura master with totem supported summoning skellie to reduce the mana intensity.

Edit: Oh! I completely misread the passive portion of the skill changes! We actually get more from passives than we do now! That's even better! Skellies are going to be totally badass now :D

wow.. I can't believe how much people are upset about all the minion improvements. So you get less minions, but they are smarter, more durable, teleport to you when they are too far away, follow you through instance entrances/exits.

I personally feel really excited about the patch. I have been waiting for all these minion improvements for a long time. Now I can finally make a necro build. Plus they weren't even going work on minions until the next major patch, so we get all these improvements early.

And yet people still are upset?

Minions look to be stronger than before, while taking less time/mana to summon due to a lower total of minions and also will stick around for a fight instead of run away to a corner. Not to mention they'll follow you everywhere but town until you DC or quit. And yet people are crying nerf without even trying it out. Wow.

I already one hit myself on large groups of minions sometimes :/
The minions are most certainly an improvement.

Noting like being in a massive battle and watch your minions all of the sudden run off to some random corner.

This will be much improved, if it works the way it sounds.
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.
So the update has been postphoned until monday? I guess that's the case as it is september 8th in NZ now and there still is no update.

Maybe something that needed readjusting?
Or it's a balance thing, because of the new Vaal Pact keystone.
On that note, Chris and the balance guys, thanks for the keystone. Can't wait to start messing with it.
Has anyone tested it extensively on the Alpha realm already? I can already smell it would require some adjustments.

What happened to arrow totems? Am I insane? Or were they in this thread a few days ago as a under consideration, but then disappeared.
