Death Penalty Changes in 0.11.3
Keep it up GGG, the 6 socket change was a necessary one. It takes people's focus away from game mechanics to always be on the look out for 6 socket items. If people want high item tension, there is a party allocation for that. I am not sure about the reduced exp penalty though, I think 5% cruel and 10% merci may make a little more sense but if 8% keeps more people playing so be it.

Good call GGG i think death penalty sucks anyway on a easy casual player league...
I play on Standard and Hardcore leagues but when i go standard i usually do it to check out some experimental builds and just have fun so the less death penalty is welcome and sounds like more fun. We will see how this death penalty change will work... |

" I think you should scale penalty depends on circumstances of death. For example: killed by uinq - 8%, by rare - 10%, by magick - 12% and 14% by white monsters. Values can change, but i think it's pretty fair system. |

Isn't it possible to set the amount of exp lose in the leagues and by do it that way the hardcore players can't rant about it.
I've died a few times to desync and that is kinda annoying cause you are not in control of what is happening so I don't like the penalty you get from dying and lowering it seems to be the right choice. Last edited by nihlus#1123 on Jul 25, 2013, 9:45:44 AM

Maybe this was suggested already, but I would like to see quantity (- 20-50%) OR rarity (- 50-100%) drop penalty if you die for
a) few minutes b) for a specific number of monsters killed (like 100) to discourage killing bosses while dying at 0%exp, OR even if you do it, then you will get reduced loot, but atleast have killed the boss to progress through. Yeah the 6-socket thing sucks! If somebodies too slow to miss it, then too bad. I actually play with a buddy and we have fun fighting over them and chromatics. It seems you guys are "bending over" for the whiners, just saying... I do like the exp penalty reduction for now because of the desync and the desync caused by partying with a summoner. Can you guys fix that please?

" How about negative experience in this case for penalty? In this case, you would get to -8 experience. You would still be at same level, but you start at -8% instead of 0.
