Chest looks nice at first, but stats are lacking. Really makes me wonder who comes up with these evasion uniques sometimes.

High evasion: good

Life roll (60-70): good

max 10% fire resistance: poor, feels like a wasted mod

max 40% cold resistance: good

max 25% lightning resistance: ok

25% reduced movement speed, 1% increased movement speed per 450 evasion: interesting mod, but the threshold seems high to me. Most likely you would need a Grace and/or Jade flask combo for you to get above the threshold of 0% reduced movement speed at 11.3K evasion. At least it helps cut down on the need to carry both a Quicksilver and Jade flask.

max of -50 physical damage taken when hit by animals:
really? This one really got me confused. -50 damage? Only physical damage. By animals? Why even have this mod there? Seems useless to me. The whole point of evasion is to avoid hits and only worry about BIG hits. I would love to be wrong, but this mod seems like very little thought went into it. Who cares about 50 physical damage reduction by animals - and you can only equip the chest at level 59?

Sadly, once the novelty of this chest piece wears off - it will probably be relegated to the sole function of skin transfers similar to other evasion chests that no one ever uses seriously: Hyrri's Ire, Bronn's Lithe.

Interesting unique, but that's a lot of investment to get that strength and intelligence.

disadvantages:
- Limited to just lightning skills
- Limited to a really slow melee weapon,
- Huge investment into int and str, (although this may be comparable to CoC's investment into critical strike chance, although likely easier to attain considering things like Astramentis)

Advantages:
- One can [seemingly/presumably] stack 3 of the same gem (not that that isn't really an advantage in itself)
- Acts similar to a 5L/9L CoC setup. 5L because the spells only have 3 sockets available to them for spells/supports, but the attack gets up to 5.

Hmm... I guess like multistrike Cyclone Double strike would be crazy with this due to the 4x attack speed (let alone from increased attack speed). This could easily result in 12 casts per second PER MONSTER (potentially hundreds of casts in a second)

That seems like a bit of a problem lag-wise, lol. This would be like spamming vaal spark if it was used with spark.

Sure you could use a brightbeak or fast sword to trigger even faster, but why would you need to? almost certainly better off using a solid shield. One would probably want something like Rathpith Globe (and purity of lightning) considering the spell damage you'd be taking against reflect.

Mjolner: spark spark GMP
Probably the best for damage considering the chain (double damage, vs. arc's extra chain would be almost useless).

Body armor: Cyclone, multistrike, faster attacks, increased AoE, life gain on hit, blind/knockback/whatever.

Ring, amulet, or something else: fire or cold dmg.
Elemental equilibrium (as if you needed more dmg)

Biggest problem I see is that using spark with GMP (or even LMP) without added lightning damage or lightning penetration or critical hits it seems like shock stacking might be very difficult for anything but the weaker monsters. While arc will probably be sufficient for shocking, it potentially deals significantly less DPS, mostly depending on how many targets it hits (I think it passes spark at 5 enemies and that's presuming all sparks hit something)
So I guess both spark and Arc work; Arc probably a more straightforward and faster skill, mainly due to it's recent buff; innate 10% chance to shock at 20% quality, plus higher damage for better shocks. Not as much damage potential, but if it can shock it can make up for that.

Obviously could run the same old discharge spam build too (using Romira's Banquet) — probably really strong particularly with Voll's Devotion.

u obviously didnt thought about all the options for this amazing hammer (discharge)
and also u said its like 9l, while its actually like 10l! ,why? 6l on chest + 3 on hammer + cast on hit (better than cast on crit)

to get the req isnt easy, but totaly doable, link to build i made with that hammer:

There was a post in this thread many pages back showing that it didn't work, presumably because it's an item modifier and not a penalty from equipping armour.
the most important aspect to understand about Mjolner is that it is intended as an off hand weapon for high crit dagger mainhand cast on crit. u no longer have to put cwdt arc or add discharge to ur setup as a main skill link. Mjolner will cast those things for u.

so with that in mind u take ur standard cast on crit ranger or shadow with cyclone and put arc and discharge in it with life leech. get accuracy nodes look at danmaku build. its all there yall.

Why CoC? That doesn't make any sense.

Mjolner only proccs if you actually hit something with it. But the idea to work with a quick main hand was nice...

Here's my idea. Mjölner is basically a CoC without relying on crit (which saves up nodes). So why not invest them into block with aegis and get a really tanky Cast on Hit build. Main attack would be gmp spectral throw, single target is a problem, though. :(

Or for more speed Lightning Strike, Multistrike, Chain, Fork? --> Advantage over normal CoC is that you don't have the delay, i.e. you can cast three spells all at the same time.

Only waiting for that ball lightning to come out. ;)

Some Mods are added for the flavour of the item.

If I am CI (and somehow ok with only 200 ES on my chest), does that thing save me from another 25% elemental damage?

75% resist = 25% elemental damage taken, reduce that by another 25% =~81% resist?

Sounds interesting, though I'd rather wear a 500+ ES chest. ;)
3.5 build: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2299519
if you have a 500es shield & helmet you wouldn't care... I guess it's usefull for a flicker ci, which is normally more penetraded by aoe ele dmg, than anything else... only expensive thing would be to get shield and helmet coloured right :/
