Thor is a god, he has superhuman intellect.
The comic character is different.

well.... i still think that he is not that smart to have 300 int....

loki allways gets him....
The real king of the hill - ASSZERKER CoC - high life, insane damage and clear speed
IGN: ascendant_broken_heart, thread number: 1608112
After planning a build around Dual Mjolners...I found that CoC is easier to plan and does way more damage? No matter how much attack speed you stack the proc chance still isn't brilliant thanks to the amazing 1.05APS of the Gavel base. CoC+Mjolner build wouldn't work due to the horrendously low crit chance on it either.

Only thing I can think of is some super high hp evasion tank with this, doing below average damage since you can't really scale the ele damage it shoots out?

seriously one... ONE! item named after an ancient god and you start screaming?

I do like the naming, see it as an easter egg instead.

Actually, a number of uniques already have names or theme from popular fiction, mythology or real world sayings.

Belly of the Beast - assumed to be biblical reference
Bronn's Lithe - song of ice and fire
Tabula Rasa - a saying
Chernobog's Pillar - a slavic god
Doon Cuebiyari - 'dark heart' in old tongue from the wheel of time series
Terminus Est - from the book of new sun series (read it if you haven't, great stuff)
Pillar of the Caged God - inspired by the 8-ton staff of Sun Wukong
Moonsorrow - supposedly inspired by a character from my little pony
Bino's Kitchen Knife - named after a supporter's friend that's woefully inept at cooking

possibly others

alas, he is not cultured enough...

It's 'nerdy', we should call duck a duck :)

I think this would be good for cyclone, the thing about using CoC with cyclone is you have to spam cyclone, if you don't it's hit-hit-hit-hit-hit-hit-hit-hit-hit when you don't roll a crit and crit-crit-crit-crit-crit-crit-crit-crit when you do, so you try to shorten its duration as much as possible to reduce the risk of reflecting yourself to death. With myollnir and cyclone you can go for longer runs, it goes like cast-not-cast-not-cast-cast-not, so it should be easier to keep health up, less burst potential.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

Well loki is the god of what he´s doing :>
What can never be lent or earned?
Somewhat, that devours everyone and everything:
A tree that rush. A bird that sings. It eat bones and smite the hardest stones.
Masticate every sword. Shatters every shrine. It defeat mighty kings and carry mountains on lightly wings.
What am i?
did anyone think about a setup with really high attackspeed from tree + high crit-chance and just doing a normal attack (regular attack) build with wrath, anger, haste and spark-spark-iron will OR arc-arc-iron will.

i really think you could get alot of damage out of something like that alone.

explanation:
- att speed for most often casts
- both mjolners should have arc + arc + iron will, u have nice strenght total so its huge damage boost
- dont need crit but often hitting - go spectral throw with GMP/LMP + faster attacks+faster projectiles in chest, dont need to level ST, quality is better as gives AS
- resolute technique is mandatory for same reason as above
- for defence purposes i would run Arctic armour with eldritch battery and MOM
- as auras - haste for max AS, purity of lightning for defence (purity will help much against reflect) and clarity would be a must to sustain mana for AA, grace would be last aura but would give high survavibility due to iron reflexes, ( u can also go dodge instead of IR)
- if can afford get some spell and ele dmg nodes from shady tree

Scion and Shady also can make this build as their trees are all involved

early tree to start using around level 60 with astramentis or nice all stats equipment

Dual wielding this hammer just for the dual wield attack speed bonus makes no sense at all . either you dual wield this and use dual strike or one is enough. With spectral throw you alternate weapon anyway so the only benefit from dual wield is attack speed.
Also imo for groups and aoe i would use 3 x arc in it and only put iron will for boss fights , some1 would have to do the math but im guessing additional cast would be better for group clearing considering the additional chaining arc received this path.

Edit : does any1 know how lightning strike projectiles work with 50% chance to trigger spells ? what i mean is if you use lightning strike + chain + lmp and 3 projectiles hit seperate monster and then chain into other monsters does it roll 50% to proc on every single projectile hit like for example spectral throw with CoC ? If it is so i would consider LS with Chain for triggering cause of +1 chaining and + WED

Mjolner with lightning strike?

Never!

/sarcasm
Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes
Well there isn't much point getting IAS nodes, since with most of the good IAS nodes on the right side of tree you get around +100% IAS, with multistrike and faster attacks that sums to +400%, giving you 0.2 attack time. But without the +100% IAS from tree you get around 0.35 attack time...which isn't a big difference for the huge amount of nodes you're speccing into.

In Norse mythology, Andvari (Old Norse "careful one"[1]) is a dwarf who lives underneath a waterfall and has the power to change himself into a fish at will. Andvari had a magical ring Andvaranaut, which helped him become wealthy.

I really like GGG for these names.
To crit or not to crit ?
thx for pointing why im wrong.right that dual wield wasnt a good idea, better get a shield, but im still with ST as one projectile canhit multiple times, u throw 3 of them and dont have to be melee.
Better dont quote me - often editing right after posting:)
