You only get 1 power charge each time you use a skill and it hits an enemy, its not 1 for each enemy hit.

" Actually incinerate simply has really fast casting spped, leading up to 6+ "casts" per second. Each of those proc things independently from one another, this is why people use knock back/blindetc on it and also the reason it has 0%base crit. |

" Yep. So you can use all the +crit chance/mult you want to get super strong discharge crits. Most people are adverse to critting with discharge cause of reflect, but if you're not on hardcore or are willing to just run around reflect packs then you could really destroy once you get enough cast speed. Especially with the +power charge wands. I thought people would have learnt by now nothing that hurts discharge ever makes it through Alpha. If the only worry a build has is not killing yourself to reflects then its over powered. But then its been OP for the last 5 patches and buffed in each.
It might sound like im bitter thats cos i am it would be nice if they buffed something that wasnt discharge just for a change. "Blue warrior shot the food"

There was already a bit of discussion about self-cast coldsnap earlier in this thread. this is the tree I decided I would run with if I ever get my hands on a Banquet, I figured I could offload a bunch of gear and passive space on to my auras for resistances, while at the same time benefiting from a massive boost to cast speed thanks to a nearly 2x effective haste aura.
Berek's looks like it would be amazing with self-cast cold snap; free life leech as long as you can freeze an enemy. Almost like a free life leech gem. With regards to whether you should use a Shiver or a +3 staff, the conclusion I came to was if you can craft a +3 staff with at least 60-80% increased damage, it would give much more damage in the long run. Otherwise use a Shiver for the ~100% increased damage and 20% more damage against frozen enemies. IGN: Ikimashouka, Tsukiyattekudasai, DontCallMeMrFroyo

" I doubt a Staff is the way to go, honestly. I was planning on using: Seems way better, to me. Unless the 20% Increased Damage taken increases the original Freeze Duration, in which case I want a Taryn's. More to the point, I have a 6L Lightning Coil, and other than maybe trading that in for 6L Carcass Jack, I don't want to lose it. Getting a 2nd 6L (which is not viable for other builds) is annoying.
