It will actually be about the same damage , but you need to spend 2 skill points less to get them , AND you win 20 dex and 20% projectile speed ( keep in mind projectile speed makes your lightning arrow shoot further , which helps for offscreen killing )

I'm assuming you need int so I took the 10% elemental dmg in templar.

Just make sure you fill out some life at the higher levels , your dps should be pretty fine at this point but your life seems low. There's still multiple 6-6-10 clusters or better to take.

Also try to take the 3x8% weapon ele dmg at the start of ranger, weapon elemental damage is never a bad thing to take.

Hello all. I am a LA Duelist, but since there is not much help over there I thought some rangers could give it a try :).

My simple question is this:

Is this the best combination of a bow/quiver (for pure DPS) for an elemental LA build?


Or would a very high rolled Tri-Ele thicket and a 30% Ele Dmg/10% Atk. Speed quiver be a better combo? Please reply.

If curious my build is this, if it matters in the bow/quiver selection:

Yes it is , although it will not win on paper dps , it will win in reality. ( Lioneye's applies more shock stacks and can apply burn , because of being able to crit ). Also there's many situations where a resolute technique build doesn't hit the minimum treshold required to actually shock a target. While a critical hit will boost the damage by atleast x2 ( you should have 50% + crit multiplier from amulet ) Making it possible to hit the shock treshold on any target.

Never just look at the dps value only , shock stacks and other elemental effects are important also.

Also keep in mind when people compare pure dps values of thicket bows to lioneye's is that only the attack speed stat works on all your damage. Any + element damage from gear of auras will get the benefit from lioneye's not being able to miss , but will not get benefit from the thicket.

I do prefer an insanely good quiver over blackgleam though ( because it can have projectile speed and +life/resists ), but blackgleam is a very good and much cheaper alternative.

thanks for the guide, reached level 32 and equipped my Death's Harp. Having a blast now :D
but out of curiosity, how long should I keep this unique bow? like, how good does a rare have to be to outclass the extra arrow mod?
