Good news GGG...

More good news...
The Gembling Queen is alive and well and General Gravicius is dead!

We bested the mobs last night and reached the Gembling Queen. As I predicted my 2 friends thoroughly enjoyed the speech she gives and the part about referring to us as "not-a-cockroach". We moved on through the Warehouse sewers, broke through the barricade, and whipped the Black Guards in the Barracks. Then we had it out with General Gravicius. This boss is not a pushover and it took 5+ minutes to kill him but in the end he died, dropped a healthy amount of loot (working as intended) and we all enjoyed our latest PoE session.

I'm still without a single death and the other 2 died a couple of times but this is all new to them and playing again in a trio is very fun for me. Now on to the final showdown with Piety in her lair.

Necessity may be the mother of invention, but poor QoP in PoE is the father of frustration.

The rest of the 'end-game' content will be available along with a heap of new stuff when the game launches in a few months time. From what I've seen it's going to be awesome. - Michael_GGG

haven't played in a while but that's only due to me having 5-10 fps. Once I get my new computer I plan on playing this game a lot. The time I did spend with it despite the lag was very enjoyable.

Good luck. I'm running PoE on an older Intel Core i5 (2 core, 4 thread) cpu, an MSI 6870 1 GB video, 8GB DDR3 1600 ram (G.Skill Ripjaw brand), and Windows 7 64-bit perfectly. I do have a huge dual fan 4 heatpipe cooler on it so I can run it at 3.85 GHz and that is a major plus. Just make sure you have at least 4 GB of ram therefore you need a 64-bit Windows 7 OS (avoid Win8 if you can) to access all memory available. Memory is cheap so I'd recommend you get 8GB so PoE client32.exe instance change crashes won't occur. The other 2 computers run PoE on 4 core AMD cpus so that also works well. 1 computer runs the 32-bit version of Windows 7 so it crashes out (PoE has a memory leak bug somewhere) so I'll be replacing that with Windows 7 Pro 64-bit very soon.

Also may the Internet Gods favor you with low pings to the PoE game servers.

Have summer fun playing PoE.

BTW, the random rogue encounters in Anarchy League are a nice change of pace from the regular mobs and mini-bosses. I hope GGG adds them to all the leagues come October when PoE goes gold.

I also have to be very careful with a Duelist ranger in the Sarn Market and Warehouses to stay out of range of the creatures that perform a spin move kick attack as they can get critical hit punctures on that character. The only defense (other than good kiting skills to stay out of range) is to have high resistances (ok, that's a no brainer but always true) and to have a health flask that provides 50% of its health instantly as the bleeding damage can sometimes be faster than the flasks health restore speed. That is extremely frustrating when you are pressing (beating) on the number keys all at once and your health is still going down to death from a critical puncture wound.

To stop bleeding, you can also use the Staunching flask with suffix "Remove bleeding". This has been by far the best solution to deal with puncturing mobs, for me.

+1 nice post.

I brought IRL friends with me to try the game - so they did but they all left again after a while. I´m the last one, but I´ll stay.

My wifes goin to kill me...:D
You make my day. Thanks and have fun !
It's a niche game, many people aren't interested in it.

I have friends who jumped on it, and friends who didn't even know what to make of it.

The former usually had a history with D2/ARPGS.

The latter are the type that play WoW and Skyrim.

It's not a mainstream game by any means. Never will be.

Anyone else read the title with Professor Fransworth's voice?

Great post OP.
This game rocks

To the one whiner complaining about their last few hours of playing... that's just how it is my friend. Often we get to a point where our characters hit a brick walk because of a flaw in our build design. Learn and reroll. This is what adds to the replay value. Total opposite of D3 where you just swaps skills and buy gear.

At least some of you got the reference to Futurama in my title.
