Granted I am a bit new to Path of Exile but I have a question concerning the various builds you posted as 30, 60, 90 etc. I was trying to follow it but it seems that some of the nodes I just put in on the 60 point build are no longer in the 90 point build. Are the builds posted correctly or am I thinking incorrectly? Do I now have to get Orbs of Regret to remove the points I just put in trying to follow each of these build in order?

I guess I'm a bit confused about this. I already deleted my first 63rd level Witch so I could follow this build plan and now my current Witch may have to be trashed again because of all the Orbs of Regret I now need to farm up so I can follow this build. If I try this build again I may just follow the 110 or 120 point build so I do not have to keep backtracking and spending time on the Orbs of Regret.

Please let me know what I'm doing wrong.

Thank you.

I've been rerolling as this build over the past week (I quit during closed beta to focus on some other things) and have been loving it. I suggest you read through at least the last 10-12 pages of the thread to see what he's been trying out end game post 1.0.1 (mainly the removal of the Minion Damage node in favor of EE). There is definitely some respec between the 60-90 levels, but this is to be expected. You can easily respec just based on the "quest rewards" so I don't know why you are blowing regrets. Really you should just be using his guide as a road map that gets you to where you want to be. The gear that you have and play style will dictate what path you take to get there. Best of luck!

Then I am doing nothing wrong in thinking that the builds for 60 and 90 are complete builds and they will involve some respecing. Seems odd though that he would remove certain nodes which to me (a total noob right now) seems to be a good choice.

I will do as you say and read the last several pages of this post to get a better handle on it and I'll not use another skill point for awhile. I have not spent any Orbs of Regret as yet I was just wondering how many would be needed to end up with the final build. I already deleted a level 63 Witch once and rather not do it again as long as I'm going down the correct path of this build.

Thanks for the advice and cya in game.

I don't think you need to "not spend any points." Based on the level 60 and 90 snapshots in the guide, the only respec that you'll need to do is the removal of 1 Dex node, 1 Mana node, and the Mana Geyser key node. I think these are useful to pick up mid game while you gear up and rely more on your own attacks for damage. Once you get to Merciless, you shouldn't really need all that mana regen, etc from passives since your minions are tanking and you're really just cursing and adding extra dps. At that point you can use 3 "respec points" that you've gotten from the side quests to grab some other important nodes (like more life or the bonkers Mind of Matter key node). Hope this helps. If you're seeing other big differences let me know and I can try to help out. I haven't had any issues only using quest respecs (and I had to grab some +30 dex and +30 strength nodes to complement my gear early on) and I'm now level 72.

Hmmm that is interesting. I would assume unrighteous fire is pretty much the same thing as righteous fire without the self burn. So spell damage on a shield might actually increase the damage? I am not 100% sure since minion damage, or concentrated has no effect.

Spell Damage modifiers do not increase the damage of righteous fire and therefore presumably do not increase the damage of unrighteous fire.
Sorry if the passive tree seems confusing at times, I had several changes as I get better gear and changes in the patch notes(like the vitality being 40% now). I might not of been so quick to update the tree. Thank you for letting me know there is a problem I will look at the tree again tonight.

To sum up what I specced out of.

~I picked up mana geyser (2nodes). When I did not have enough mana regen and left over mana to handle artic armor and mana shield.

~I picked up and dropped +30 Str and Dex Nodes as needed, obsiously if your gear gets you to the right amount drop the 30 stat for in favor for something better like %hp.

~Sometime last week I decided to drop 5 nodes(that included a +1zombie) to fit EE into the build and it has been a tremendous dps increase

*p.s. I know it can be really annoying as someone who follows the guide but am a person who really likes to experiment a lot. I like finding those certain combinations that makes your character even stronger. Every time there is a new buff/nerf to skills or a new unique of some sort I look to adjust my summoner build to see if I can make it even better.

1: I definitely agree that 3 spectres is just an overkill, but i haven't tried to snapshot other mobs (quite frankly, i dunno how to do it. Even with videos, seems like Tabula Rasa is needed). Are support spectres really that useful?

2: Sometimes BM's seem to not to cast the aura for a long time, and when i have big pack of monsters just in front of the map TP this becomes a pain in the ass. Is there any way to make them trigger it quickly or is it just random?

3: Do you believe there will be nerfs to BM's? I'm pretty sure about this. There's no reason to use any other Spectre as damage dealer.

4: What piece of equipment should i change first?

1. I decided to keep that +1 spectre for just one purpose. 2X BM and 1X evangelist, the bubble from evangelist is required as a summoner to deal with the really high damage end game map bosses. Temple peity, 74 Vaal, 74 Dominus, Ect ect.

2. I would like to say it is not random but I can't seem to find a sure-fire way to get them to turn on. Some methods I have tried is running back and forth. Forcing Bm's to go medium range. Attacking mobs. In the end it really feels like it is random.

3. If you invest heavily into minion damage nodes and use a lot of more damage multipliers you can get other spectres to deal even more damage than a burned miscreation. (BM is op b/c you don't have to invest much to have pretty ok dps). I don't think they will nerf BM's as it takes a very specialized configuration to squeeze the most out of them. What was truly op and a good reason to nerf was the chaos degen bear. It will deal a percentage damage of the mob's hp and you could kill end game map bosses like it was nothing.

4. Its hard to say but if you want to exploit mana shield and artic armor to the fullest start by getting more mana regen and es to convert into mana. I see that you have quite a bit of armor. I just aimed for 50% reduction (Around 8-9karmor). It will be 90% once you use determination, granite, and enduring cry.

I will try and update my guide again. Had not edited out all the old shit yet.

So after reviewing my passive tree again it looks fine.

Please use this tree/guide as a general road map.

Ask yourself am I playing Hardcore?
If so , am going to grab as much life and minion tankiness as I can as quickly as possible, I will worry about auras and support nodes later

do I need dex and str to equip this?
Pick up dex/str nodes as needed

do I need more mana regen to use my attack/spells during the early/mid game?
Pick up mana and regen nodes

Am I playing softcore and would like to dive straight into buffing the crap out of my minions?
Don't pick up as many life nodes and go straight for the auras and curses.

Regrets is just a fact of poe life lol. You constantly tweak things and you don't stop!

I really appreciate the build advice you've been giving. This is my first PoE character and I'm playing on a low-end laptop, so a survivable minion-based character helps me live through the times my machine lags for a few seconds.

I'm a little curious on the bandit quests, though, why you don't take Oak's +40 life reward in normal difficulty. It seems like it's definitely going to net you more hp than one of the 8% life nodes you, and since you have some of those on the edges, you get more life by not taking the bonus skill point. Am I missing something?
There is a point where 8% will be greater than +40hp. I think the cut off point was 200% at 1k hp. The cutoff point would be lower once u get more flat hp than 1k.

Also this build is passive point hungry, you want all you can get.

1000 * 2 = 2000
1040 * 1.92 = 1996.8

Whad do you guys think, will zombies work without minion life support?

Spent multiple exalted orb worth of chroms and all I couldn't get 2B1R, but did get 2R1B1G. Losing 2k hp but gaining aspd on zombies. Will they die to much now?

If thats an Alphas Howl, why put zombies in there to start with (just sounds like it, I had a lot of trouble getting 3 off colors on mine).

If your making DPS zombies its multi > melee > faster attacks (like what you have).

If you want tank zombies.....then Empower > Minion Life > Enhancement (Requires RBBG).

Not alpha howl, I decided not to go too crazy with auras, that 1% max res on the new auras isn't worth it (if its even possible).

Got this pretty cheap, but then spend a furtune on shroms.
