{3.2.0} Spectral Gods: [Life Based Spectre/Golem Hybrid Summoner | Clear Speed | End Game Bossing]

I swapped earlier from Frost Sentinels to Solar Guards, and I still find Solar Guards to clear faster (even with the bug that most are saying about). I might be using wrong gems on the Frost Sentinels.
System specs: AMD Ryzen 3600, RTX 2060 Super

People are overpanicking for no reason, the Spell Echo issue only affects the beam, which for clearing purposes affects almost nothing unless you're farming high red maps/shaper/guardians with them. Solar Guards are still fine, at least for a 4 days into the league, they clear everything the game has to offer minus t14+ content even without the burst damage from the beam.

I did a few Uber Labs and almost instantly kill both Izaro and Argus with Solar Guards, all yellow maps are super easy, and low-mid red maps are a non-issue still and not even affecting the clear speed at all. I'm still using Tabula (can't 6L my Vis for the life of me), and Brightbeak.

However, Frost Sentinels does clear maps faster, even with Spell Echo they do perform better than Solar Guards for pure clearing speed. I used mine with RS + Minion Damage + Spell Echo + GMP + Hypothermia + Controlled Destruction. The new jewels are really OP, they brought the Sentinels DPS to a point where the higher DPS of Solar Guards hardly matters for normal mobs. Though I did switch back to Solar Guards because Frost Sentinels clutters the screen too much to my liking.

I'm using 2 Frost Sentinels + 1 Cannibal Fire Eater (helps a lot with bosses kill speed) but i still miss Vis and other optimized gear so i'm hanging in the yellow maps to get enough currency :P
I enjoy the freezing which gives another layer of security especially against abyssus.

I really enjoy the frost sentinels. I can't tell where my mouse is... but other than that, i really like the security of freezing damage.

Frost sentinells are amazing. i have fairly good gear now, 6l vis mortis, the scourge etc. And i have been stacking those new jewels. But i belive i can do t16 and shaper with frost sents. Have done some t15 corrupted nps.

Which new jewels if you dont mind me asking. Im really loving the frost sentinels.
I wanted to try the Solar Guards after lvling to 86 with Frost Sentinels. It just feels very wonky..

In terms of Map clear, the Sentinels seem to be way better + they shatter/freeze stuff.

Maybe its just me but i feel like the Solar Guards sometime just stand around doing nothing.
You're not the same, it happens to me and everyone else, AI is just nuts, in a bad way. You need to facetank enemy to make sure they will not stand a look around instead of fighting.

I think I'm done with summoner, this spell echo/multistrike thing is drama. Some say it's still fine, but they forgot (or didn't play before) how it is with working spell echo, it's a night and day. Only playable summoner is still SRS, almost 2018 boyz, unbelievable. By playable I mean "my point of view what makes me fun to play as summoner", just saying in case somebody will say I'm wrong, I'm not. I'm not even considering indoor maps, that you should avoid by all means if you're not playing SRS.

I've been using flame sentinels as soon as I got this unique..

It's really refreshing being able to use spectres so early on. I'm using it in combination with SRS and it feels comfortable. Once I pick up Soul Weaver I'll switch entirely to spectres. I took Commander of Darkness first because of the resistance and damage boosts. Not sure if rushing spectres would have been better.

I see where you're coming from, and I can see why one might get turned off by it. I play Summoners on every league, heck even before there's such thing as "leagues".

However, spectres AI is roughly the same as usual, Solar Guards still act dumb at times while Sentinels shoots at everything on sight, it's the same in Harbinger and before that. Different monsters acts differently when they're made spectres, it is annoying that they're not all as aggressive as golems with Primordial Might, but I got used to it after playing Summoners for so long.

When it comes to Spell Echo, I might have to disagree. Yes, it is terrible that it does not work as intended as confirmed by GGG. But it is not a night and day difference as you claim. SE only affects the beam, and they don't cast them constantly anyway, and I still kill stuff at the same rate now as I did before in previous leagues, even faster in some cases, mostly due to the new jewels, and I haven't even finished my Vis Mortis yet. So I have to call BS on that night and day assessment of yours.

I don't think I've had any issue this league so far, running any maps (even the dreaded "indoor" maps), with a crappy Tabula mind you. I've done a few corrupted elder red maps without any hassle, and still killed the bosses just fine. There aren't that many builds that can do that three days into the league that's not a Summoner or totems. Summoners are still one of the best league starter by far.
I played summoners a lot, just to let you know, all srs/zombies, golems and spectres. I know what I'm talking about. I'm happy for you that you like all the flaws and you don't see a difference with broken spell echo/multistrike. I didn't have such AI issues in last 2x2week races even btw.

Having that said, I wish you nothing than the best with your specter build in abyss league.
