I like this build overall .As a somewhat new player can someone tell me if this build is still viable.

one of the best overall spectre builds as of today.

solar guards are long range, fire quickly and move fast.

as to the people saying this build is nerfed/dead : READ THE TITLE. THEN READ THE PATCH NOTES.

NOTHING has been changed, solar guard spectres were NOT TOUCHED in the patch. 0 change (other than minion life gem buff, if you use that)
Are the leveling trees in this guide updated?

Yeah build is a little buffed because specters get accuracy, but you have to stay alive for them to do their job. Maybe not so (braindead) user friendly anymore. The RF wickermen are probably dead.

Guess i'm going with this one in 3.1 (1,5 hrs) .. wish me luck! ;-P
I will be updating the guide soonish/this weekend. Overall this is still a good farming character and with some investment able to do the endgame bosses.

Don't see any necessary changes to the build besides clean up and making sure trees work.

As for nerfs:

Yes, Tokuhama's Vanguards has been nerfed but they are still viable if not great. I believe their internal cd for totems is 10s while the totems can stay up for 5s now, They also seem to have nerfed the interaction with Fortress shield, seems like they have a less of a 'chance' to place down more then 1 totem. Whatever that means, it boils down to less damage stacking uptime.

You won't have extremely face melting single target damage anymore but its still good and a contender in the single target category.

Wickerman Righteous Fire damage has been lowered while spectred. These monsters were using a version of Righteous Fire not intended for spectres, and were dealing significantly more damage than intended as a result. This change brings them in line with other spectres who use Righteous Fire.


Still needs testing but if this is anything like the burning miscreation type nerf these guys will be doing a lot less damage. They were strong for how little you needed to invest.

I testet this build to act 5 but i have a problem. My Spectres make compared to my Zombies, Skeletons and SRS zero damage. I hope someone can help me and give me some advice. I use the Miners @act4 with Raise Sepctre + Spell Echo + Minion Damage + GMP
So anyone else having problem with Spell echo? Cuz today i got my Kitavas Heralds and put a spell echo on them and they only shoot 1 ball, then on global chat one guy noticed that too but only on flame sentinels, so does it still work..?
