Playing this on beyond right now and while it does have decent dps the survivability just isn't there for a hardcore league, i know my gear is shite but still. You just cant rely on ur summons always taking the hit.

" Fire damage does nada for SRS. You want to look for staff +2 to fire gems, +1 to gems mainly. Cast speed is a nice bonus. Aside from that, maybe mana regen and some resists. |

" Any suggestions to make this more beyond capable? I got my arcer to map level so am leveling a summoner on beyond right now. Trying to think of what else could be done. I got as many life % nodes as possible. Completely immune to physical damage thanks to immortal call/enduring cry spam. Capped res. I guess the only thing left is chaos damage. Those chaos degen warriors are a real pain. I'll try dual/quadra curses this league as well. Enfeeble/temp chains. Level 65 seething pots with those nodes should be healing for over 1k life a charge. What if i decide to not use vitality and purity of elements if my resistances are capped and use grace instead with IR ? Would IR make a diffrence in survi just with grace? got 6L staff now and was wondering if anyone got math for 6th socket srs - echo - multi - splash - mphys - x minion dmg vs. added fire? also I'm considering fastcast, because... reduces lock out time as you're casting, reduces ramp-up time of spirits, should help with clear speed a lot. might be overkill with vaalhaste dunno. but my spirits alrdy do retarded dmg so dunno if I want more +dmg... also some annoying bosses like let's say necropolis merveil or the archer frost stormcall guys kill spirits quite easily so summoning faster is just very helpful. gotta roll the staff first then I'll test some runs. any opinions tho? |

Cast on Death seems to be back with a vengence for RF. Does that mean BMs are back in business untill it is fixed again? Or do the spectres not have this mechanic and are just beaing resummoned on gem change?
