{3.2.0} Spectral Gods: [Life Based Spectre/Golem Hybrid Summoner | Clear Speed | End Game Bossing]

Lets say you have 8 zombies, with the current way minion gem works you can actually cast 4 zombies with the Grasp. unequip(so the half value goes away) than summon 4 other zombies. This results in 4 super zombies and 4 regular ones.

This works because minions are snapshots. Which means minions gain the stat they are casted with. You'll notice this is true when u take support gems off and the minion still has them, this also works with items.

Equip -> summon -> de-equip(minions still retain the item stats)

Some call this an exploit. I agree, but without this mechanic summoners wouldn't stand a chance against other builds like discharger, totem builds, LA, Split arrow builds, ect

In my opinion the amount of effort to summon minions in this fashion makes this "mechanic" okay. Especially if u dc or quit have to do the whole process over again

Not sure why I didn't think of using the snap shot on this weapon, that completely changes everything.... Must get my hands on one of these bad boys then. Thanks for the info!
Has there been any official word on "fixing" snapshotting summons?
I do remember one post from the GGG team. I don't have it saved or anything but they did mention this mechanic is unintentional.

* Anyways in other news I fought a rouge exile with lightning arrow + it was in a 72 map with GMP on it. Needless to say my minions got completely owned. 8k hp and 79% lightning resist isn't enough for my zombies =(. Finally beat her with totem + skeleton distraction and wailing her with zombies that I revived with corpses

Iron Reflexes is a sure fire way to get plenty of armor. If your familiar with games like league of legends armor lets you increase your effective hp pool much more efficiently than just stacking pure hp. You can just add Grace and some evasion gear and you should have enough armor.

Prevents from instantly dying to charges, flicker strikes, leap slams. Or the random smacks to the face with physical projectiles.

Any thing can have any colored sockets.

hey mattc, thanks for the build write-up

i'm curious how you plan to change your build with the incoming changes. i know that's kind of a hard question to answer because we don't know exactly what skills will be changed and how they will be changed, but we do know some things.

chris said aura costs will be going up and most auras will be changed to be a percent based cost. this means that it will be unlikely to see characters running more than 3 or 4 auras and that eldritch battery will not be as useful for aura stacking.

any thoughts or reactions to how this will affect minion builds would be appreciated.

Are the new monsters good spectre material?
if so how do I link them?
Do trigger gems work on minions?
if so which ones are effective?
Should I trigger defensive abilities like molten shell. endurance charges?
Is scion more point efficient than the witch starting point?
Which auras are mandatory for the build?
The new uniques(any of them good for minions)?
