2 Dumb Questions:

1.) You list a 6L Raise Zombie skill chain as:
RZ + MultiStrike + MeleeSplash + Faster Attack + Cast on Death + Melee Physical

Why Melee Physical Damage over Increase Minion Damage? Seems like Increased Minion would do the same thing at higher values?

2.) Ideal Armor type? Would it be a bad call to 5l/6L a Triumphant Lamellar to use? (Armor/Evasion). Would it be better to do an Armor/ES or Evasion/ES armor? Essentially all equal outside of socket color chances?

1) Hmm, interesting. If I understand game calculations correct:

Multistrike: 0.64 multiplyer
Melee Splash: 0.84 multiplyer
Cast on Death: 4.04 multiplyer

It's total 2.171904 mult.

With Melee Physical (1.49 multiplyer, base zombie dmg is 1.15 - Lord of the Dead gives 15%):
1.15 * 1.49 * 2.171904 = 3.72

With Minion Damage (no mult, 77% increase for total 1.92):
1.92 * 2.171904 = 4.17

So, if you have only 15% Increased Minion Damage from any source except support gem, then Minion Damage support is better.

But if you have more than 57% Increased Minion Damage, than Melee Physical becomes better

calc example

With 55% Increased Minion Damage
Melee Physical:
1.55 * 1.49 * 2.171904 = 5.01
Minion Damage:
(1.55 + 0.77) * 2.171904 = 5.03

With 57% Increased Minion Damage
Melee Physical:
1.57 * 1.49 * 2.171904 = 5.08
Minion Damage:
(1.57 + 0.77) * 2.171904 = 5.08


With 60% Increased Minion Damage
Melee Physical:
1.60 * 1.49 * 2.171904 = 5.17
Minion Damage:
(1.60 + 0.77) * 2.171904 = 5.14


2) I think, anything with ES is better, since you have EB passive




I have a question about snapshotting mechanic - after summoning zombies/spectres with tabula rasa, you must change armor to anything with 5L? Or just keep zombies and spectres gems at the same position (so any 6s armor is ok)?
There is actually more damage multipliers at play here,

I did some calculations a while back u can use and tweak the formula

Assume 20/20 all gems
Assume base atk spd is 1 per s
Assume splash is calculating main target

More(Cod 4.04 * meleephy 1.49 * zombie 1.26 * Vul 1.44 * meleesplash .84 * mstrike .64 ) * increased(splash 57 + passive 15 + grasp 100 + sidhe 15 + mstrike 67 + meleephyQ 10)

More(5.87) * 264% = 1549.68

hatred is 61%

1549.68 * 1.61 = 2494.98

1 atk / s

1 * (mstrike 2.07 * 1.54) = 3.1878 atks / s

2494.98 * 3.1878 = 7953.497% damage per second

So attack speeds/mstrike does a lot for DPS

Not going to bother with EE and elemental weakness

2) Just from what am using it seems like you would only need the top 2 links linked(in the chest u are transfering the zombie/spectre gem into). I know for sure a 5L 6S works while using the top 2 slots.

Hey, I just wanted to say how much I love your guide. This is my first PoE character and I can run piety like NP all day thanks to your build.

However, my zombies are not the unstoppable monsters from your videos. I still have a lot of trouble with dom, and it takes me a good 40-50 seconds to kill piety on average. In addition, while my zombies are quite tanky, they still die frequently during boss fights.

I am only level 78, but I have qualitied almost all of my gems and I have pretty decent gear. I am running hatred, purity, clarity and vitality along with vulnerability and flammability. I haven't gotten a chober or grasp yet to snapshot with, and my gems are mostly level 17. I have hit all the minion life and aura enhancer nodes on the passive tree

Do I just have to hit a higher level with my gems? Or do I need to start snapshotting? What am I doing wrong?
Since you don't have the hp boost provided by the unique items I should try boosting the zombies life with a minion life gem.

Assuming you have a tabula rasa

RZ - minion life - faster - mstrike - msplash - cod

Other than that a level 20 zombie makes a significant difference

New zombie setup for attempting hard end map bosses(Prob new setup from now on)

RZ - Msplash - Mstrike - CoD - Faster - Life Leach

Out of all the defensive gems i have tried life leach made the largest difference my zombies can more or less sit and tank there. On top of animation, vitality, and rejuv totem. Immortal zombie. Deals with reflect as well which is a problem now.

When I was doing maze vaal I was just running cirles around him, and he died to degen aura, zombies are not needed in that fight.

My CoD is only lvl 17, so I can see needing life leech when it reaches 20 and I get quality on multistrike and splash. Right now I can keep zombies alive no problem.

they were getting destroyed in reflect maps lol. If you hit a large pack they die.

Also the vaal tactics sounds pretty good.

Vaal is also easy with shockwave or frost wall totem
just be careful not to aggro too much cos it will teleport to the center from time to time
