Monster Hunter wilds: From 1.1 million players to 50k players

"
I downloaded the beta a few months back, played it for about 45 minutes and then uninstalled it. I've never played a game with a worse control scheme. It's just a constantly shifting mapping of buttons to actions.

Also I'd like to remind everyone that this OP admitted to being too old to play hard games anymore, which is why he found an easy game like POE where he could spend his days trolling the forums.

I'm sure in his mind he's concocted some clever explanation as to why MH being bad means that you aren't allowed to criticize POE2, but it seems like a really bad example to go with.

Lol liar. What I said is i retired from escape from tarkov because my reaction times are going with age.

There are plenty of hard games I play besides extractions shooters or rust
PoE2 is a long-term game and MH Wilds is a one-time game. In PoE2 you log in regularly and in MH Wilds you only log in for a few hours, kill the strongest boss, craft equipment and the game is finished. there's no comparison.

The game is failing. It has lost 95 percent of it's playerbase in just 2 months. If you don't make the necessary changes to the game then your company and your game is going to fail.

See I can make this argument for literally any game out there. Doesn't mean the game is bad, doesn't mean the game is a failure. In fact poe2 has better player retention then any game out there. It is a bad faith argument. Nobody wants poe1.5. Just wait for 3.26

poe 2 is ALREADY POE 1.5 ) are u blind?)

Monster hunter wilds has seasonal based content similar to the league system in poe. How is that a one time game?

Sure, you can make this argument, but then make it correctly.

"Monster Hunter: Wilds"
Month 1 - player peak of 1.1kk and an avg of 318k
Month 2 - player peak of 548k and an avg of 122k
MH:W had 50% (peak) and 38% (avg) remaining from m1 to m2.

"Path of Exile 2: 0.1"
Month 1 - player peak of 578k and an avg of 304k
Month 2 - player peak of 353k and an avg of 190k
PoE2:0.1 had 61% (peak) and 63% (avg) remaining from m1 to m2.

"Path of Exile 2: 0.2"
Month 1 - player peak of 245k and an avg of 86k
Currently - player peak 85k and an avg of 45k (estimated)
PoE2:0.2 had 35% (peak) and 52% (avg) remaining from m1 to w3.

My character in the monster hunter games doesn't reset every Title Update; at 100 hours I already have multiple end game weapons and sets fully upgraded and it only takes a handful of hunts to get the new stuff. Title Update 1 for Wilds has only introduced High Rank Zoh Shia and Mizutsune so far and when Arch-Tempered Rey Dau is released he also won't take more than a day or 2 of very casual gaming to farm. There isn't the same treadmill like PoE, I fought Mizu 6 times and have the full set of armor+ materials to make multiple weapons same for Zoh Shia. There's very little reason for me to play again until Title Update 2 releases.
Yeah your character doesn't reset in poe either. Its your choice if you want to or not

Your old characters go to standard, and in the full release version, you will only be able to play a new league with a new character, as long as they do it as it is in PoE1.

Right your character doesn't get reset like I said.

Sure, but that wasn't the point of the discussion you countered with your statement.

He said that he can play it on his old character without any problems if new content for MH: W releases.
That's not the case for PoE. If you want to experience "league content", you have to play leagues, especially because not all leagues get added to the standard version of the game and get removed after the league ends.
So, in MH:W, one character is enough to play all content, in PoE - not.
