I am curious how many players will never come back after the new "league" launch in poe 2

is there even going to be a new league in POE2?

they completely dropped POE1, our favorite game of all time, and then nothing with POE2. It's been over 4 months...

I guess gaming really is 100% dead
This thread is hilarious. Everyone’s subjective opinions don’t matter. Of course, a seasonal ARPG in early access is going to lose players a few months in.

EVERY SEASONAL GAME IS LIKE THAT.

We already knew the endgame would have shortcomings—they literally threw something together so we’d have something to mess with while the game is still in development. This was communicated.

The funniest part? The people screeching “game is trash, I’m done!” after dumping 500–1000 hours into every scrap of content early access had to offer. If someone plays for a few days or a week and decides it’s not for them, fine, that’s reasonable. But when the sweatiest degenerates who have done everything possible are still fiending for more, then start raging that there isn’t infinite content in early access, all while breathing like an addict coming off a cocaine fueled limp-dick goon session complain he can't slooge for the 18th time. yeah, I’m not taking that opinion seriously.

For an early access game, with clear communication about what to expect, the current endgame is exactly what it was meant to be—a placeholder. We all knew this.

The game is fine. It will keep improving. And let’s be real—you’ll all be back, frothing at the mouth, for the next goon sesh when the new league drops.

Y’all are STUPID.

They need to stick to what works, poe. This poe2 nonsense is a waste of time :D.

That makes no sense. We ALREADY have poe 1. What would be the point in making the same game?

The game will continue to grow, evolve and shape into what it will be. And you'll be here sucking the tit of dopamine, don't kid yourself.

They first need to add some form of dopamine hits, don't you agree?

They could drop me 2398457 Mirrors of Kalandra in Mire, and it would still feel as a chore. No player agency in the endgame = no game. I won't touch PoE 2 until they add player agancy over what to run, what to buff and a MUCH better way of buffing it. Classes? Ascendancies? Weapons? Bears? Spears? Irrelevant, unless what you use them for is fun.

They will probably (maybe?) get there somehow, but they need to start making the hard choices, and not band-aiding broken mechanics. Treat the cause, not the symptom.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

Okay dude poe2 has been in ea for 3 months, and there's been updates patches and bug fixes. Being all dramatic and lying that there's been nothing with poe2 for over 4 months, or that they dropped poe1 doesn't help with credibility.
PoE 2 has shown how it behaves now. If you got to T16's or even T10's you can see what the direction it is going and how it works with or without EA or full release access. I for one will not be logging into it again nor spending hard earned money on packs that are being used to support "the vision" of "ruthless POE" aka PoE2.

And in the next year when they announce PoE1 is no longer supported that will be my career of 13 year veteran with PoE at an end.
i like big crits and i cannot lie, you otha brothas cant denyyy....

Only 2 doesn't offer dopamine, just melatonin.

Act 3 is twice as long as it needs to be. What will 4-6 bring? Path of Acts?

And ascendancy trials? Kidney stones are more fun.

Endgame? Inexplicable

PoE 1 started with...endless ledge?

PoE 1 also started out with four nerds in a garage. I think it's more than fair to expect "a little bit more" from a multi million dollar company.

You also mention "an endgame", as if PoE 2 doesn't have one. I agree. But instead of creating one, they seem hellbent om band-aiding the half-arsed endgame they've got, which to me is crazy.

More than fair indeed, to expect more. What I mean is that from that endless ledge, came PoE 1. And we've had so many atlas changes and additions, it's now nowhere near where it started.

I think they'll keep adding to and pseudo-patching the current endgame at least till the full release, and that from then on leagues are going to heavily influence the form of the endgame.

And I expected way more of PoE 2 to be ready and that we'd get the whole thing in a burst. At some point I pointed out how ridiculous it was how long LE was in early access.

This could take over a year, I think.
Did you try turning it off and on again?
