Gold prices should be much higher and using the exchange should also be way more limited.
If there was a auction house, items should be weighted after mod tiers, or item rarity in terms of unique items. Trade alone is pretty much already a free item editor with the "downside" of trading.

So instant trading should really have the downside of a hefty fee and limitations, but luckily enough a auction house for items will never happen in this game, pretty much like mentioned in the trade manifesto from years ago. And it's a good thing.

100%. At least let it be a limited number of items or something but without it, many people will never have build options for fear of the trade complexity and scam. And it wouldnt take away people who want to manually trade just give options.

The only reason I want one is because I play long into the league and also enjoy standard, both situations where trade dies so quickly and it's hard to roll new characters without crafting all the gear myself. If all the items that were around in the first 3 weeks of the league were still for sale (obviously not optimal picks) later on then at least there would be a CHANCE.

As a 5+ year veteran, I am 100% now in favor of an auction house, Faustis, etc. being part of core game. We can keep the trade site but let's add some type of "medevil market" where items can be listed, bid on, or sold outright, etc. for gold obviously to counter certain people places and things.

We need a system that allows us to trade for an item without a seller action. That will remove the complete market manipulation and the hours I spend whispering and getting no reply on cheap items I need for an upgrade. I never make lots of currency and I don't really like to no-life it and focus on a strategy and research prices but I like to play and part of it is trading items I am unable to find or craft myself. Problem is, nobody sells 10 chaos boots after the first week because its not worth leaving a map and taking time to trade.

World of Warcraft is enough information to prove that an auction house doesn't solve this. Just look at the herb trade and sellers and you can see that fast.

AND OP really doesn't know what live search is? Like REALLY? I can keep live search on, alt tab when it pops and click on the insta whisper link in less than a second when I'm paying attention and need no bot software to do this.
