And what about the ones inside a rituals thats 3 feet wide tucked up against the wall where theres next to zero room to move, multiples mobs spawning all at once? Is dying to those effects still the players fault or a game issue?

I think that’s a little harsh on a player, whilst true it is also obvious (particularly in the second video) that unless you specifically know that particular mob does that then the lack of telegraph of the on death effect is virtually nonexistent. GGG have said many times they have and will continue to improve these telegraphs, this appears to be one in need of attention sometime.

Particularly in a ritual it is difficult to focus and identify everything on the ground such as all the mob types, as we can see in the second video the player was moving in clear space and so avoided the effect correctly.


I hadn't even done the ritual. These are just normal trash mobs I was clearing out (or so I thought). I'm killing two monsters to the left, but spark does this really CrAzY thing where it bounces off of surfaces and goes different directions. A monster dies at the upper right edge of the screen BEHIND the ritual altar banner (i.e. hidden from view). It drops a T12 waystone, so I stroll over to pick it up and the damn thing explodes with no warning right when I get there. But sure, this was 100% my fault for not paying attention. Now I've got people telling me my sorceress needs 6000 armor, 3000 evasion, 8000 mana, 7000 ES, 500% es and mana recharge rate, +20 to max resistances, 100% block chance, and it should take me 3 hours to complete a map just to make sure I don't die to one of the dumbest, once in 300 hours, mechanics in the game. Sure, now THAT sounds like loads of fun. I'm beginning to think all these trolls are just masochistic, crayon eating Warriors.

P.S. MODS, I'm not saying THEY ARE...but it does make me wonder. :)

If you want to play the hardest, highest tier, most juiced content in the Endgame, yes, you should have a really tanky build or play extremely carefully (or both) ; because if you don't, you are going to die if you don't nuke everything and avoid any and every kind of incoming damage. You took the nuke path, so you are getting one shotted right and left.

That's the End of the Endgame for you. You are really acting surprised its killing you ?

You have the agency to play lower tiers if you don't want to die to everything with your dps spark glasscanon.
Yeah, death effects from those mobs can kill you if you are hit by all the projectiles, no matter your HP,Mana or ES. I dont believe that we should be hitted by the same attack multiple times, there is a lot of mobs that just IK you because of this.
