The most ridiculous, super delayed, on death, 1 shot, 4500+ damage effect
You getting hit by the on-death effect of these mob is 100% your fault for not paying attention. HOWEVER, the damage of a lot of things is way too high and this is a good exemple.

" I think that’s a little harsh on a player, whilst true it is also obvious (particularly in the second video) that unless you specifically know that particular mob does that then the lack of telegraph of the on death effect is virtually nonexistent. GGG have said many times they have and will continue to improve these telegraphs, this appears to be one in need of attention sometime. Particularly in a ritual it is difficult to focus and identify everything on the ground such as all the mob types, as we can see in the second video the player was moving in clear space and so avoided the effect correctly. " I´m not so Confident as you are, but i didn´t played Poe1 either, but in over 20 years Gaming i can say... Gamers have not much Patience when they feel Ignored, wich is exactly whats happening at the moment :/ |

" I wouldn’t say confidence but faith, played PoE1 for 7.5 years and they know how to evolve and improve their games for sure. Patience is definitely a problem with the PoE2 player base right now, and you are 100% correct that communication is very lacking and something like an update (on what’s in the works, not to the game) every 2 weeks would be a welcome improvement there. If I can make one thing crystal clear...
I do not want this game to be easy. Easy = boring IMO. I love being challenged. Sure, I've died to overtuned monsters, one shot abilities (usually from bosses), and other on death effects. And you know what, I learned from them and got better at the game. But NOT ONCE in hundreds of hours played and juiced T15-18 maps have I died to a corpse that effectively drops a hand grenade on death with a 3.5 second fuse and ZERO audio or visual cue. Furthermore, with a spark build I'm often killing things off screen, so I don't even see what I've killed. 3.5 seconds is more than enough time to move from one position to a position previously off screen. Do any of you seriously think GGG expects us to be able to ID every monster we kill or every corpse we come across to make sure we don't walk in to a booby trap?!? Are we supposed to walk around every corpse or wait 5 seconds to approach a loot drop? Of course not. So the real question is...are these kind of mechanics supposed to be just "part of the game"? Truly, I'd love to know. GGG have responded to player feedback by removing certain on death effects, improving telegraphing, improving visual clutter, etc. They have given us every indication that this specific kind of mechanic should not belong in the game. So what is the problem with me calling this one out? Now here's the thing...if their intention is that this IS supposed to be part of the POE2 experience, I can live with that just fine. Just tell me, or show me through more than one encounter every few hundred hours. I will change my build accordingly and adapt. |

This guy bitching as a fkn paper towel spark - I got one shot in simu with 4k hp, 1400es, max/over res, 75% block, 81% phys +10 more (warbringer) and 30 evade and it was only like round 13.
The actual entitlement of any caster/full ES build that dies "OMG HOW DID I DIE ON THAT MEGA JUICE MAP WHERE EVERYTHING IS SUPPOSED TO BE 100000 TIMES HARDER WHEN IM OVER HERE TAPPING ONE BUTTON ON MY OP BUILD" Get over it. Yeah I'm mad, warriors get one shot and killed way more than any other class. Games unbalanced. Casters should be easy to kill, way easier than meat shields. End. Funny vid though tbh lmao |

" Yeah, that's hilarious. But again, he isn't even full ES, just full Mana, so that makes it even more funny. |

Not to mention the Ritual Text Box covers too much area. The mobs were behind it the entire time and it's possible you wouldn't even know they died there with Spark flying all over the screen.

" When you are that weak, yes, it should take 3 hours to clear a map safely |

I don't care if it's the player's fault to die to this, might be. I think the on death in general is a bad mechanic. I'm fine with very specific and highly telegraphed on death effects but otherwise I'm not having more fun because I have to wait for a mob to explode before I can loot safely.
