Ward without the flask is dogshit. You get swarmed, ward does nothing.

blood rage takes a lot of dex unless you run level 1. Also if you want to run a top tier armour evasion chest piece you need a lot of dex. the large amounts of dex you can get on the tree are accuracy nodes. which you dont need with that node.

A conquest lamellar requires 173 dex.

If you use the old school full dragonscale its 94 dex and then you will get around 40% less ward from the chest piece.

Marauder has this theme where they like to sprinkle downsides in the ascendancies (berserker) Its very telling that you look at all the other ascendancies and there are no downsides. Then you see the new ascendancy for marauder and its littered with downsides. It is a design philosophy at this point.

Hence the GGG hates marauder.

There are no attack builds which aren't one of four things:

1 - Resolute Technique. Node does nothing
2 - Crit. You're going to need a lot of dex for your items, support gems, blood rage, etc. Which do you think is easier to get: a couple thousand accuracy rating or almost four hundred dexterity? Hint: it's not the dexterity
3 - Precise Technique. If you're stacking accuracy, you don't need this node.
4 - Dogshit. Every other possible build which primarily deals damage with attacks is trash.

It would be nice if we had mantra of flames back, just make it not work with anything but melee attacks. Taking that away then giving us trauma then nerfing trauma has really been sad. Standard trauma should have been what divergent trauma was.

Divergent trauma league(tota i think) was the best league in poe ever. Defiance of destiny was obtainable and you could scale melee builds and trauma stacking was awesome. Settlers league was good for slams but its just gone on too long. Ive built a town in a private league (sctrade), gauntlet, hcssf settlers and hcssf necro-settlers. As someone who enjoys heisting its really killed that for me this league since you dont get ore there and crimson ore is the best way to get 6ls for ssf players.

I think you would be stuck using hunter/shaper weapon if you were str stacking. Sounds like another zenith angle.

supreme ostentation could work but any build stacking str will loose a huge boost to damage when using that node. May be a decent combo with pillar of the caged god that does not benefit much from str increased damage.


unless i got it wrong the "you have no int" means:

one cant use anything with INT requirement so from the go you cant use many STR stacker items such as pillar of the caged god, Brutus' Lead Sprinkler, alberons, mask of the tribunal, Doon Cuebiyari, Shaper's Touch and Geofri's Sanctuary.

you can use THE BARON but most minions or minion related supports have INT requirements

replica iron commander and Paradoxica can be used but cant use crown of eyes or alberons to boost the damage.

Crystallised Omniscience: quite sure the "you have no int" will be converted to "you have no Omniscience"





the final nail is the new duelist aristocrat "30% increased str" node with no penalty...

whats even funnier is some classes are getting their 3rd ascendancies announced and marauder is the only one sitting with just 1 ascendancy.

I'm just puzzled that a class called "Antiquarian" would have an effect that drops Intelligence to zero. How can he determine the authenticity of artifacts without any intelligence?
