State of Early Access Update

and you still refuse to give us 6 portals and No death exp penalty .

fine . sure i will come back for 0.2 , play two weeks and leave , like everyone else .
Just remove the Temporalis and balance the stat stack scaling
Still no maps tab
Could you please remove Vaal areas from maps? They're such a drag that I just use low level maps on them.
Now with this pointless dev update.

Watch these numbers continue to plummet.

You guys should of done a head count before committing to such a big task AKA POE2.

Really F'd the brand side ways imo.

Please provide more crafting options other than pick up items, ID, slam.

like, whats the point of this ... they have said so often that they will add crafting stuff over time like they have been doing in poe1. why are we crying for stuff they have acknowledged multiple times already????
performance on consoles is horrible
I never post, but for what its worth, I'll give you my reasons for playing PoE1 over PoE2 currently.

1.) Map layouts
PoE2 map layouts are utter garbage, the worst, most are extremely unenjoyable. This is in dire need of a fix.
2.) Towers (more tedious sextants)
The sextant change (removing them) was one of the better changes in PoE1, it's again tedious as and unenjoyable. But somehow made it back in PoE2 in an even worse implementation (how?!)
3.) Movement speed
Although a smaller reason, after booting up PoE1 again after 2 months of PoE2, the first thing I noticed immediately was movement speed, quicksilver flasks are so nice I can't go back to PoE2 anymore. Consider more options to scale more raw movement speed, with the removal of utility flasks boots should be able to roll at least 50% MS.

We did attempt to address some of the more overpowered player skills, but backed off somewhat in order to prevent breaking peoples characters. We initially thought that there would be more tolerance for this kind of thing during Early Access, but we were incorrect!

From what I've seen, it was more the inability to respec that caused backlash. The respec costs are more than reasonable now, so nerf as you please!

There is still a lot more to do to improve the endgame though!

To be honest, I don't like the base design of the atlas. It removes player agency in choosing maps and mechanics (compared to poe1). I'd be much happier with a poe1 endgame rework, restoring those qualities and improving QOL in things like getting to the quest bosses. Improve on what you already know works. For example, Trial of the Sekhemas feels way better to play than Sanctum did (other than removing guaranteed currency drops).

P.S. We need a little movement speed scaling please. It doesn't have to get crazy like poe1, but I feel like a slug moving around in poe2.
Personally I haven't tried early access because I don't like to discover things that eventually get removed before 1.0.

My takeaway from reddit and your official post is, that the new endgame is a problem.

So, my question is: "Was it a requirement/necessary to change something that was working well in POE1 so much to make something new in POE2?"

What do you other Exiles think?
