This is why ill never buy another supporter pack again.

"As of March 25, the game and company GGG is 100% owned by SIXJOY HONG KONG LIMITED, a subsidiary of Tencent.

Former owners Christopher W., Jonathan R., and Erik O. have sold all their shares to SIXJOY. They no longer hold any ownership stakes but remain listed as directors—positions that SIXJOY can revoke at any time.

You can verify this information through the official New Zealand Companies Office:
[Official Company Records](https://app.companiesoffice.govt.nz/companies/app/ui/pages/companies/1887410/documents)

Additionally, there are unconfirmed rumors suggesting that Christopher W. hasn’t been present in the office for an extended period.

Make of this what you will."

They took the lambos and ran good for them, bad for us. Stop giving your money to tencent, original GGG has nothing to do with this game anymore. Poe2 will go the same way as last epoch and diablo 4 (100k players left if they made a new poe 1 league poe2 would literally die) meanwhile they have killed poe 1. Good job, time to find a new indy company with dreams working from their garage.

was new to me, i understood they sold a stake to tencent some time ago but was OOTL of them selling the entire company and personal shares too.
When they sold the original shares, it was with the premise of the remaining shares being transferred in the future. That came to pass last year. All information was publicly available.

GGG still makes the best ARPG on the market and I care less about Blizzard than I do Tencent. Until they stop making the best ARPGs your advice is not only useless it's bad for gaming.
so the logic here is that you wont pay for this really good game, which will result in lower revenue for the evil Tencent which then will have to come up with novel ways of generating revenue by messing with it or straight up pulls the plug? all because team red is evil. ok

I mean ive already spent thousands more than 5k, their lies and bullshit dont deserve a single fucking cent more. Since they are no longer going to support POE1 in any meaningful way then i could care less if the game dies, i havent played a single second of poe 2 and i never will it doesnt interest me (they sent me a key day 1 , still not redeemed)

to take this thread more seriously than is deserves (OP's posting old news): good luck with that, precious few projects rise above the background noise and only a tiny fraction of those don't end up with massive changes and feature cuts due to compromises with publishers and playerbases who "demand" things that worsen the game.

Believe me, I'd love to hear of a indy team working on an ARPG thats trying to be a great hack and slash multiplayer game with meaty deep systems and character builds and such.

Like a lot of things I suspect the genre's golden age already happened though. it 100% depends on if GGG has the ball sack to balance POE2's endgame or leave it as a 1button imitation of POE1's runaway feedback loop of design mistakes (that they allowed to be recommited in 2)

Maybe generative AI developed games will allow some tiny teams to curate bold and uncompromising vision driven projects.
Pandering to players who don't want consequences for their mistakes is a perfect description of what went fundamentally wrong with D3 and 4.
If they wanted mindless mobile game time waster gameplay they sure did make some perplexing choices and marketing statements for 6 fucking years.

yeah these lies are more fear on your part, but to me even if your fear would materialize and the new life cycle of this franchise (10 years= new game, old one gets put on ice) i think it would be great outcome. btw not sure where you've been to shield yourself from people changing their mind constantly but i envy you, however i thkn you are quite familiar with this yourself, so why being angry over it?
