More checkpoints?
Can you really not admit map design has a core issue and most maps need redesigned? Are we just going to pile bandaids on top of bad design until release?

I think that what would really make waypoints useful is the ability to teleport to one of them FROM ANYWHERE on the map, not just from one to another. That way, you could use them as shortcuts to certain areas, and there wouldn't be a need to pepper them throughout the maps, just position one in each 'region'.


Do you realize how everyone will abuse it to escape combat? poe already is "hardcore" only by name, with officially approved logout macros:)

softcore players suffer more from RNG deaths and exp penalties, because they don't have a mindset of "arm to the teeth with 3rd party tools and use gaming mouse with hardwired scripting support".

Simply implement a 2-second cast time that can be interrupted by damage. This is not a new mechanic; plenty of games already do this.
