I practically would shout from the mountain tops for going on 13 years now about how simply amazing Path of Exile was. I don't know when it happened, but at some point, GGG just went radio silent, and there seems to just be no interaction with the community what-so-ever, to the point where this video doesn't feel "transparent," it smacks of poor mismanagement from a stretched thin and floundering company who only sees their audience as dollar signs.

I have perspective, and I know that POE, and subsequently POE2, are just video games, and I know that companies, regardless of the fact that there are people behind them, are going to do what companies do. GGG isn't beholden to any of their player base or fans when it comes to new content, or even information on anything that goes on behind the scenes when it comes to their projects.

All that said, I really am just left wondering where it all took that turn, and why GGG can't just put out the vaguest of timelines of things they're actually working on, instead of a nebulous, "we'll get to it when we get to it, sorry not sorry." At this point, people are clamoring for the simplest of things; a league reset, an old league, some events, races, or really just about anything at this point. People are hungry to support GGG.

Sure, POE2 is wildly more successful than I think GGG really thought it would be right out of the gate, and it's all hands on deck to maintain that trajectory and deliver the best product they can, but it's all coming at the expense of the people who have supported them all these long years. It'll all come in time, POE is still perfectly playable, POE2 will get better and better, but I wish GGG didn't have to spit in the face of their fans in the meantime between all that. I don't understand why they can't throw a bone to the people desperate to support them.

Thank you for the transparency, I know that things happen but precisely because of the transparency I believe that you will do the best possible. I am sad but I understand.

This is just the step before sunsetting POE 1. 'We can't manage two games' 'This way POE 2 will just get better faster!' 'Don't you guys have a console?'
